Rockford Scanner™: NWS Says Straight Line Winds Caused The Damages in Rockford.

If you have any information:

Update from the National Weather Service:

Based on high resolution drone footage provided by the Rockford Fire Department, we determined damage near the intersection of Broadway and 9th streets in Rockford was caused by straight line winds of 70 to 80 mph. All damage, while noteworthy, was blown in primarily the same direction within a slight outward pattern. That said, if evidence is found (such as a video taken during the storm) that the damage was tornadic, we will reassess our determination. We greatly thank the Rockford FD for their help in our assessment!

Severe weather tore through the stateline earlier today.

There are several reports of damages across the East side of Rockford.
