Serious Accident on the East Side

It happened a little after 10 pm near 6th ave and 12th st

We are getting reports that this is a pretty serious accident.

The engine is reported to be out of the vehicle.

We are not going to provide any more details at this time.

Avoid the area for awhile.

Update:  1 person was transported to a local ER
Unconfirmed reports are saying the vehicle may have possibly been stolen.
Comed is on scene. A utility pole has been snapped.
There is a small power outage in the area.

Rockford PD:
The 1600 block of 6th Ave. is temporarily closed due to a single-car accident, which damaged a utility pole.
