Rockford Scanner™: Suspects in A Stolen Vehicle Flee From Police, Arrested A Short Time Later


 





 


POSSESSION OF STOLEN VEHICLE: On Friday, January 21, 2022, at approximately 12:55
a.m., Rockford Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop near E. State Street and Alpine
Road when the vehicle, reported stolen out of Huntley, fled.

The vehicle was located a
short time later in the 1300 block of N. Main Street where four occupants fled on foot.
Three of the occupants were detained and the fourth occupant was later apprehended
on an unrelated outstanding warrant.

During the investigation, the facts of the case were reviewed by the Winnebago County
State’s Attorney’s Office who authorized the charges listed below.

Kwamann Gholson, 19, Rockford

Possession w/ Intent to Deliver Cocaine

Juvenile, 16, Rockford

Possession of a Stolen Vehicle
