Building a Safer Rockford: Our Progress in 2019

Now is your chance for your voice to be heard and your questions to be answered, so be sure to attend!

The City of Rockford has seen a dramatic decrease in violent crime since 2017. While we still have a long way to go, we want to share our progress with the community.

Join Mayor Tom McNamara, Chief Derek Bergsten of the Rockford Fire Department, Manager Jennifer Cacciapaglia of the Mayor’s Office on Domestic Violence & Human Trafficking Prevention and Chief Dan O’Shea of the Rockford Police Department as they review public safety results from 2019, look ahead to 2020 and take your questions.

The event takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 4, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Burpee Museum of Natural History.

Additional parking will be available at Riverfront Museum where you can walk through the tunnel connecting to Burpee.
