FOIA: Rockford Police Department Saying They Do Not Have Any Documents For Their Reporting Policies For Their Department. Rockford Police Do NOT Have Reporting Policies???

We recently filed a Freedom Of Information Act request on the reporting policies for;
the Rockford Police Department and also the Winnebago County Sheriff Department.

The SAME EXACT FOIA request to BOTH departments.
(Click the following for each FOIA request: RPD  & WCSO

Rockford Police approved the FOIA, saying the “No Such Documents Exist”
which means the Rockford Police DOES NOT HAVE ANY REPORTING POLICIES???

You can view it here ~ CLICK HERE, or you can scroll down and see it embedded into the bottom of this article.

OR does it means the Rockford Police do  have them, (All police agencies have reporting policies) and lied in their FOIA response???

Our Opinion: RPD is being prima facie dishonest in their FOIA response to us.

A simple google search clearly shows they DO have reporting policies.
And the Rockford Police possibly have flat out lied on their FOIA response to us.

We should point out, the Winnebago County Sheriff office also approved our request on the SAME EXACT request to them and WCSO were TRANSPARENT and did send us the proper information.  You can view that here ~ CLICK HERE

Why do police departments have policies?
They establish expectations for professional, ethical conduct. Policies make sure law enforcement agencies comply with laws, industry standards, and case law. And they promote police accountability, which helps police departments build trust in the communities they serve

Below is the RPD FOIA response to us, saying no such documents exist

Below is our FOIA request to WCSO

Below is from the Winnebago County Sheriff office being transparent, and actually releasing the information
