Rockford Scanner™: Juvenile Arrested For Threatening To Shoot Up A Rockford School Football Event


JUVENILE ARRESTED: – On Friday, September 6, 2019, Rockford Police School Resource Officers at Jefferson High School were made aware of a threat posted on social media.

The suspect indicated the intent to commit a shooting at Wyeth Stadium in Rockford during the Jefferson/Harlem High School football game tonight.

The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the incident and authorized the following charge:

17-Year-Old Juvenile, Rockford: Felony Disorderly Conduct

The juvenile is currently in custody.

The charge is merely an accusation. The juvenile is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Sources are reporting a bad accident in Rockford.

It happened around 5:30 PM near Greenwood and Prospect.

A vehicle crashed into a pole.

Injuries were being reported.

Police have crime scene tape up.

Unknown on the severity of the injuries.

Sources are reporting a rollover accident in Machesney Park.

It happened around 2:30 pm today near Evans and Elm, near the Boys & Girls Club.

Sources said: “The  driver of the truck said a van ran him off the road and he swerved and hit the parked white car and his truck flipped over he then climbed out the back window and is ok. Hes the guy in the orange shirt.”

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
