Rockford Scanner™: Rollover accident with injuries in rockford




Just before 6:30 p.m. tonight several emergency Personnel were responding to a rollover accident in Rockford.

It happened in the area of 9th Street and 21st Avenue. A vehicle has rolled over onto its side near this location.

Original reports were saying people were trapped inside the vehicle. But when emergency Personnel arrived on scene they confirmed nobody was trapped and everybody was out. Injuries were being reported but it is not yet known on the severity of the injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation. Please avoid the area or expect delays.

Sources said: “green jeep was in the left lane, the car who flipped was in right lane, on one way street going north, car that flipped turned left onto 21st from right lane, cutting person off in left lane, I guess it a good 10 feet of her trying to stop to avoid hitting”

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Small Child Drowned In A Pool, In South Beloit




 

Sources are reporting a small child has drowned in South Beloit over the weekend.  

It happened on Sunday around 2:15 pm in the 14100 block of Kirane ct in South Beloit.   

We have been told a small child approx. 4 years old has drowned in a swimming pool near this location. 

Police have yet to release information on this.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Man shot in the head in Rockford, also two vehicles and a residence also struck




 

  On Sunday, June 23 at approximately 2:30 AM the Rockford Police Department responded to a shot spotter alert in the area of Green and Waldo.  The Winnebago County Sheriff’s deputies were also on scene. 

While officers were responding, a 23-year-old male shooting victim showed up at a local hospital.  Officers learned there was a large party in the area when gunfire rang out. 

The victim was a passenger in a vehicle near the intersection when he was struck in the head by a bullet.  The victim’s injuries are serious but non-life-threatening.  According to the Rockford Police Department. 

Gunfire also struck a residence and two vehicles and the victim.

Rockford Scanner™: Suspects viciously beat a victim with a hammer in Rockford




 

On Sunday shortly before 7 PM.  The Rockford police responded to the McDonald’s at 3710 Auburn in reference to an injured person. 

When officers arrived they located a 24-year-old male suffering from a head injury. The incident occurred a few minutes prior at the Family Dollar at 3824 Auburn St. 

The victim exited the store and three suspects battered the victim.  One of the suspects was armed with a hammer and viciously beat the victim.  The victim was transported to a nearby hospital.

The suspects are described as three black males in their 20s.  The first suspect was last seen wearing a camouflage hat, yellow shirt, camouflage pants and white shoes. 

The second suspect was armed with the hammer had short dreadlocks and was last seen wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. 

The third suspect had long dreadlocks and was last seen wearing a white shirt and red pants.

Rockford Scanner™: Police Arrest A Man For A Stolen Gun & Drugs in Rockford




 

On Monday, June 24 two shortly before 1 AM.  The Rockford police responded to a party in the 900 block of school Street.  Upon their arrival, officers located a vehicle with a handgun inside.  Officers took the driver, 35-year-old Quantrell Starks into custody. 

During the investigation, officers recovered pills believed to be ecstasy, and a small amount of marijuana.  Officers also recovered the loaded handgun from the vehicle, which was determined to be stolen.

Starks was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, possession of the stolen firearm, possession of a controlled substance

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Numerous burglaries in Loves Park & Machesney Park




 

Several sources are reporting numerous burglaries that happened in the Machesney and Loves Park over the weekend.

Winnebago County Sheriff’s office has yet to release any information.  They rarely ever do so.  Do not expect any updates.

Several sources have reported at least 19 burglaries in Machesney and Loves Park over the weekend.

Several of the burglaries happen in the following areas: Ralston, Zenith, Harlem, Penny ln, Blossom ct, Highstone dr, Patti ln, Debbie ln, Harvest ln, Rogers st, Broadcast Parkway, Forest Hills, Perryville, N. 2nd St. etc…

We have been told the police do have the suspect description but they have yet to release it to the public.

We have been told a gun was stolen during one of the burglaries.

Sources have been reporting several burglaries over the last several weeks now. This is becoming a very serious problem.

Severe weather is POSSIBLE this afternoon as a broken line of thunderstorms track across the area. The main hazards in any severe storms will be large hail &/or damaging winds. REMEMBER: any thunderstorm, severe or not, is capable of producing frequent cloud to ground lightning and heavy downpours.

Approximate Severe Risk Timing: 2pm-7pm from west to east.

Keep an eye to the sky this afternoon. Have a reliable way to receive warnings and a plan to quickly take action if a warning is issued for your area, especially if you will be outside away from shelter. If you hear thunder or see lightning, move quickly to safe shelter.

It happened near Colorado ave.  A Silver Buick, License plate of AN41926 (or similar) . Comes back to a sedan, to Maria Strawbidge in the 300 block of Knowlton in Rockford. Last seen on Minnesota.
