Thief is driving a silver pick up early 00’s model, possibly a Dodge or Chevy (didn’t get a good look at the truck, was too busy looking at my trailer in disbelief). Trailer was packed full with thief’s junk metal.
Trailer is small around 8’x10(2)’. Homemade.

ILLINOIS STATE POLICE REQUESTS THE PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE WITH THE INVESTIGATIONS OF I-57 EXPRESSWAY SHOOTINGS
Chicago, IL – Illinois State Police (ISP) officials continue to investigate two separate shootings, which occurred on Interstate 57 on Monday, February 4th, 2019, resulting in three injured victims, and one fatality.
The first shooting occurred on I-57 northbound, south of 127th Street, at approximately 4:05 p.m., on Monday, February 4, 2019. Three of the four people in the victim vehicle sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to local area hospitals; one victim is currently in stable but critical condition. The ages and genders of the three victims are as follows: thirty-eight year old male (stable but critical condition), fifteen-year-old male, and a twelve-year-old male. There was also an eight-year-old female occupant inside the victim vehicle; the eight-year-old occupant did not sustain any gunshot wounds, but was also transported to a local area hospital. The fifteen, twelve, and eight year old occupants have all been released from the hospital.
The second shooting occurred on I-57 northbound at Cicero Avenue, at approximately 10:02 p.m., on Monday, February 4th, 2019. Upon arrival, officers discovered a female victim (55 YOA) and sole occupant of the vehicle, deceased in the driver’s seat from an apparent gunshot wound.
Based on a preliminary investigation, the shootings are not connected, and are being investigated as two separate incidents. The ISP would like to once again ask anyone who witnessed the shootings or has any knowledge of the shootings to please contact the ISP at 847-294-4400. Callers can remain anonymous.
The public is reminded that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
# 2625 N Kieth rd, we been told this is a shooting scene with multiple officers on scene. Police only confirmed a scene, but wouldn’t provide any details.
# 3600 block of Algonquin blvd sources said there was a home invasion. Police again confirmed a scene, but didn’t provide any details.

# Unknown scene near S Main and Seminole. Update: Citizen chases alleged burglary suspects, then they crashed their vehicle. Police have taken several people of interest into custody
# “Navy blue challenger chasing a White 2 door boxed suburban, They were driving recklessly in the north town mall area and then turned left on N Main heading towards Auburn. They almost hit a pedestrian”
Note: This is the 3rd incident in the last several weeks that a Rockford Police officer has fired their gun. 2 of those incidents, a person died.
Sources said the victim Randy Pierson was charged on multiple counts of theft and theft and swindle in Stearns County Minnesota. Court records show he failed to show up for court on the charges. There was an active warrant for failure to appear. Unknown if it is related to this shooting incident or not at this time.
On Wednesday, February 6, 2019 shorty before 11:30 a.m., a Rockford Police patrol officer conducted a traffic stop on a white truck with Texas plates pulling a micro flagstaff lite trailer.
During the course of the stop, the driver of the vehicle produced a handgun.
Chief OShea, said the driver “produced a gun”.
He did not say “pointed” the gun. In the press briefing.
The officer fired multiple rounds.

In the photos, there is what appears to be an empty magazine near cone #10 in the photos near the back driver side tire.
The suspect died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound according to police.
The Winnebago Boone County Integrity Task Force has been called to conduct an independent investigation.
The officer involved was transported to the hospital per protocol. All information is preliminary
There is video of the incident according to police, but it will not be released to the public.
Officers conducted a traffic stop on a white truck pulling a trailer just before 11:30 am.
During the traffic stop, police said a man produced a gun. The officer fired off multiple rounds at the suspect. Police said the suspect died of a self inflicted gunshot wound.
Sources said numerous gunshots were fired during the incident. One officer from RPD and one from ISP was also on scene, the RPD officer was the only officer who discharged their weapon during the incident.
Unrelated: Multiple vehicle accident with one rolled over on the bypass near S Main.
Numerous police have their guns drawn at the scene.
They requested an ambulance for an officer.
There is also reports of a dead body at the scene.
Unknown who the victim is at this time.
Reports of a major traffic backup in the area.
Witnesses said the officers got out of their vehicles and put on bulletproof vests and pulled out their rifles.
Police have shut down the ramps in the area. Still developing.
Note:There is a rollover vehicle in the area, unknown if it is related to this story.
Sources are reporting several emergency personnel working a scene.
It is on the bypass just west of Montague.
Numerous officers have their guns drawn on someone.
It is not yet clear what is going on, but it definitely is a dangerous situation.
