Theft of Property in Clearwing Subdivision: Be aware of ‘scrappers’ collecting items on garbage day that are not placed at the curb. 

It was reported an older tan Chevrolet pickup truck (unknown model/registration) occupied by two white males took property from a residential driveway that was not placed by the curb. The Chevrolet was rusted and had a white band across the lower half of the vehicle.

Sources reporting earlier today there was a HAZMAT situation on I-90. 

It happened in the Eastbound lanes on I-90 near MM 187 

Large gas spill is being reported and the HAZMAT team has been dispatched. 

Traffic has been blocked up for several miles. Avoid the area



Rockford Scanner™: Local Walmart Shut Down Due To Power Outage

UPDATE – 9:20 PM:  There are reports that a generator has blown in the area of 20 and Genoa Rd that is leaving around  2,000 people without power in the Belvidere and surrounding areas.  The estimated restoration time is around 10:30 PM tonight.

Sources reporting a local Walmart has shut down due to a power outage. 

Details are minimal. The Walmart in Belvidere is reported to have been shut down due to a power outage. Unknown what caused the power outage. Unknown when the store will re-open. 

COMED has confirmed a power outage in the area.

Rockford Scanner™: RFD En Route To A Possible Structure Fire



Just after 8 pm tonight the RFD were responding to a possible structure fire. 

It happened in the area of Arlene and Rockwell. 

Reports of a possible structure fire near this location. 

Several emergency personnel are en route. 



Rockford Scanner™: Another Business Robbed in Rockford, Police Are Investigating

On 7/24/2018 at around 2:25 AM, Officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to the Phillips 66 gas station, at 4402 Linden Rd, in regards to an Armed Robbery to the business.

Upon arrival officers met with employees who reported that a lone suspect entered the business, armed with a hammer, and demanded money. The suspect left the business after obtaining currency and fled the area in a vehicle.

No injuries were reported during this incident.

The suspect is described as a Mexican or Hispanic race male, 30 years old, 6’02” 225 lbs, wearing a brown hooded jacket and baseball hat.
