Rockford Scanner™: Accident With Injuries In Rockford


Just before 10 pm tonight emergency personnel were on scene of an auto accident on the East side. 

It happened in the area of 11th st and Harrison ave. 

Injuries were reported. Initially they dispatched 2 ambulances to the scene for multiple injuries. Then they told the one ambulance to not come to the scene, because the other ambulance can handle the situation. 

Sounds like the injuries are believed to be non life threatening. But not yet confirmed. 

The cause of the accident is under investigation. 

Rockford Scanner™: Business Robbed in Rockford, Suspect Flees


On 7/21/2018 at around 10:40 PM, Officers from the Rockford Police Department were dispatched to the Happy Wok restaurant, 2526 S. Alpine Rd, in regards to an Armed Robbery.

Upon arrival officers met with employees who reported that a lone suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money.

After the suspect was given money from the business, he fled the area on foot. No injuries were reported during this incident.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30 years of age, 5’10” thin build, wearing dark clothing, a head covering, and a mask.

Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to contact the Rockford Police Department.

Confidential source is reporting an armed robbery to a business in Rockford.

It happened around 10:40 pm tonight at the Happy Wok at 2526 S Alpine in Rockford. 

Suspect is a black male, thin build, 5’9 wearing a red mask, armed with a black gun. 

Last seen on foot from the business. 

Rockford Scanner™: Scene In Machesney Park


Several sources were reporting a lot of police working a scene in Machesney Park tonight. 

It happened at the cemetery at Sunset Funeral Homes on N Alpine in Machesney Park. 

Police on scene said they were not going to provide us with any information at this time. 

We can confirm there were numerous police on scene and a crime scene unit and what appeared to be the Coroner. 

When we were leaving, A to Z towing was arriving on scene. 

Several sources were reporting a death inside the cemetery. 

A confidential source said it was a suicide. 

Police have not released any information. 

All we can confirm right now, there is an active scene inside the Sunset Cemetery on N Alpine.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Latest on an active police situation at a Trader Joe’s in Los Angeles (all times local):

5:05 p.m.

Police believe a man involved in a standoff with officers at a Los Angeles supermarket shot his grandmother and girlfriend before firing at officers during a pursuit, then crashing outside the supermarket and running inside the store.

Officer Mike Lopez, a police spokesman, says the man had fled from the scene after the Saturday afternoon shooting in South Los Angeles.

He says officers tried to pull the man over and were led on a pursuit. Lopez says the suspect shot multiple rounds at officers during the chase but no officers were struck.

At least one officer returned fire.

Lopez says the man crashed outside of a Trader Joe’s supermarket in Silver Lake and then ran into the store.

He says the situation is still unfolding and it isn’t clear if employees are still inside the store.


5 p.m.

Bystanders in the area of a Los Angeles Trader Joe’s that is surrounded by police and emergency vehicles say someone fired off gunshots outside.

Lorraine Perrotta, who lives in the Silver Lake neighborhood, says she was getting ready to park her car Saturday afternoon when she heard six gunshots.

Some witnesses took to social media.

Devin Field, a writer for “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” tweeted he was walking inside when a car crashed into the entrance and a man “got out shooting.”

Los Angeles police say there is an “active” incident at the store and that the public should stay clear of the area. Some people could be seen exiting the store through a side window and down a ladder.


4:40 p.m.

A large number of police and rescue personnel were responding to a Los Angeles supermarket, amid numerous media reports of possible gunshots.

The Los Angeles Police Department tweeted there was an “active incident” at a Trader Joe’s in the Silver Lake area.

Calls to the department’s public information office were not immediately answered. Reports of gunshots could not immediately be confirmed.

An Associated Press employee who lives in the area reported seeing a crashed car into a utility pole outside the store.

One tweet showed people attempting to exit the Trader Joe’s out a window. Other views from TV helicopters showed people leaving through the front door with their hands up.

No further details were immediately available.



Rockford Scanner™: Sources Reporting A Possible Violent Scene in Rockford, Avoid The Area

UPDATE: Robert Nickel said “It was gunshots 7 of them to be exact and the coroner was on scene”

Julie Cook :  “Shots were fired about 6 pm. Heavy police presence followed with officers going door to door, guns drawn. Cordoned off Washington Street, surrounding that house.”

RPD told us “No Comment” and to file a FOIA.
But their call log shows an “In Progress” Shooting, Stabbing, Robbery” at 219 Washington st 


Unknown if this is one scene or two different scenes. 

Sources are reporting a very dangerous situation and numerous police officers at the following locations: Washington St. And 3rd ave and also near  E State and London. 

We been told this is a shooting incident with the suspects still in the area, but wee can not confirm this due to the encryption.
