The Severe Thunderstorm Warning for western Ogle County has expired as the storms have weakened slightly. Still, wind gusts to around 45 mph probable with these storms as they near Byron and Oregon. Storms to spread across much of north central Illinois north of I-80 (including Rockford) through 11 pm.


A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 900 PM CDT FOR STEPHENSON COUNTY…

At 806 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Pearl City to near Freeport, moving northeast at
30 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Freeport, Pearl City, Cedarville, Davis, Dakota, German Valley, Rock
City, Ridott, Rock Grove, Eleroy, Red Oak, Damascus, Afolkey, Scioto
Mills, Winneshiek, Dakota Dornink Airport, Albertus Airport, Bolton,
Stephenson County Fairgrounds and Lake Summerset.

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM CDT FOR WESTERN OGLE COUNTY…

At 819 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Freeport to near Polo, moving northeast at 40
mph. These storms have a history of producing 60 mph winds and
quarter size hail in Carroll County.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include…
Mount Morris, Polo, Forreston, Leaf River and Adeline.
