Another Prostitution Sting in Rockford

On October 26, 2016, members of the Rockford Police Department and Winnebago County Sheriff’s Police conducted a joint prostitution investigation in the area of 7th Street and 12th Avenue, and other locations throughout the city. As a result of this investigation, the following subjects were arrested:

Rebecca Zeller, 30, Dekalb, IL
Charge: Soliciting Rides on a Roadway

Haley Brink, 24, Dekalb, IL
Charge: Prostitution

Rachel Koper, 33, Rockford, IL
Charge: Soliciting Rides on a Roadway/Resisting a Police Officer

Misti Teston, 35, Rockford, IL
Charge: Prostitution/Winnebago County Contempt of Court warrant

Corine Medders, 53, Rockford, IL
Charge: Prostitution

Teah Gates, 19, Rockford, IL
Charge: Soliciting rides on a Roadway

Michael Haldiman, 47, Monroe, WI
Charge: Solicitation of a Sex Act

Jeffrey Rauber, 39, Caledonia
Charge: Solicitation of a Sex Act

Christopher Paulsen, 25, Clare, IL
Charge: Solicitation of a Sex Act

Michael Salazar, 25, Belvidere
Charge: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Possession of Cannabis

Patrick Jones, 60, Rockford
Charge: Winnebago County warrant for Promoting Prostitution

All subjects were lodged in the Winnebago County Jail.





Koper was issued a notice to appear. Photos of Teston and Koper were not available at the time of this press release. Jones was arrested during the early morning hours of October 27, 2016.

This is an on-going investigation. No further information will be released at this time.

All charges are merely allegations and parties are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Multiple Arrested During Prostitution Sting in Rockford

On October 13, 2016, members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Illinois State Police, Winnebago County Sheriff’s Police, Loves Park Police Department, Rochelle Police Department, and the Rockford Police Department participated in Operation Cross Country, a federal initiative that specifically focuses on underage victims of prostitution and human trafficking offenses.

As a result of the investigation that was conducted within the city of Rockford and Winnebago County, the following subjects were arrested:

Marie Contreras, 46, Rockford, IL
Charge: Prostitution

Kirbie Sharkey, 28, Rockford, IL
Charge: Prostitution

Jessica Olson, 30, Janesville, WI
Charge: Prostitution/Contempt of Court Warrant

Ronald Coy, 68, South Beloit, IL
Charge: Prostitution/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Ashley Graczyk, 30, Machesney Park, IL
Charge: Prostitution

Stephanie Brannan AKA Stephene Brannan, 28, Rockford, IL
Charge: Prostitution/Illinois Department of Corrections Warrant

Misty Moline, 37, Rockford, IL
Charge: Prostitution

Sajda Rafequallah, 22, Rockford, IL
Charge: Prostitution

Katie Kratovil, 28, Homeless
Charge: Prostitution

All suspects were lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. No photos are available at this time.

“Operation Cross Country aims to shine a spotlight into the darkest corners of our society that seeks to prey on the most vulnerable of our population,” said FBI Director Comey. “We are not only looking to root out those who engage in the trafficking of minors, but through our Office for Victim Assistance, we offer a lifeline to minors to help them escape from a virtual prison no person ever deserves.”

The charges against these suspects are merely accusations. They are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

No juvenile victims were located during the detail. This is an on-going investigation. No further information is available at this time.
