Rockford Scanner™: Man Wanted For Viciously Beating The Victim




Beloit PD: We are seeking the whereabouts of Jebb B. Sparks Sr., 25, of Beloit, who is a suspect in a substantial battery incident that was reported today in the 1400 block of Madison Road.

Jebb is white, 6 feet tall, 140 pounds, with long, light brown hair, and blue eyes. He was last seen with his mother, Gina L. Sparks, who is white, 5’6”, 125 pounds, with green eyes and red hair. Jebb also is believed to have his 7-month-old child with him.

Jebb was last seen driving a black, four-door Mazda 6 with Wisconsin plate number AEL1029; the car only has back plates. The vehicle has damage on the driver’s door and a window is broken out and may be covered in plastic. The triangle windows on both sides of the rear of the vehicle are also broken.

Pursuit leads to Felon in Possession of Firearm

On 2-16-19 at 11:31 pm a Janesville Police Department Officer initiated a pursuit after a vehicle failed to stop for an equipment violation. The vehicle traveled a short distance and pulled into a parking lot on Kennedy Rd. The suspect fled on foot from the vehicle. Officers were able to set up a perimeter to contain the suspect in the area. While searching the area, an officer spotted the suspect, who fled on foot across Milton Ave. The officers were able to catch up to the suspect after he tripped and fell in the north bound lanes of Milton Ave. The suspect continued to resist arrest, and after a taser was deployed, he was taken into custody.

A search was conducted of the vehicle and a loaded assault rifle along with a box of ammunition was located on the back seat.

The suspect was identified as Jordan Hawkins of the Madison, WI area. Hawkins was charged with Fleeing an Officer, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Resisting and a Probation Hold. He is being held at the Rock County Jail pending his initial court appearance.

Rockford Scanner™: “Johns” Arrested In Rockford After An Undercover Sting

On Saturday, January 12, 2019, officers from the Rockford Police Department conducted an undercover operation in District 2 targeting people attempting to purchase sex, commonly called “Johns”.

The operation is part of the department’s “end demand” approach to combating street-level commercial sex trade. As a result, officers took three men into custody, and they were charged.

Marcus Evens, 47, Rockford: Solicitation of a Sexual Act, Battery

Nathan Weingartner, 40, Machesney Park: Solicitation of a Sexual Act

Andre Nelson, 52, Madison, Wis.: Solicitation of a Sexual Act, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Suspended/Revoked License

The charges against Evens, Weingartner, and Nelson are merely accusations. The men are considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Update: Vehicle drove off into the Rock River near the 200 block of Prairie st around 10 pm on Christmas night. One person was reported trapped inside the vehicle, but the Rockford Fire Department was able to rescue the victim.


Sources reporting a possible water rescue on the Rock River approx. 12:30 am.

Source said: “There are emergency vehicles by the icehouse on the Rock River. There’s  an emergency boat searching for something in the water right around there.”‘

Note: The emergency vehicle boat launch is located near the Ice House on N Madison. They use this location to launch their emergency boats into the Rock River.

Sources are reporting another bad accident in Rockford.

This one happened in the 200 block  of N Madison, under the bridge.

Injuries were being reported. One person is unconscious.

Possible life threatening injuries via the source.

Extrication is needed to cut at least one person out of the vehicle.

The cause of the accident is under investigation

Police arrest counterfeit money suspects

On 12-7-18 at 4:30 PM Janesville Police responded to Woodman’s Grocery for a subject attempting to pass a counterfeit $100 bill. The suspects left prior to officer arrival in a black 2009 Nissan Cube. Officers later located this vehicle parked in the Target store parking lot occupied by a subject sitting in the driver’s seat later identified as Kierre Washington.

In plain view officers saw additional $100 bills located in the door pockets and cup holders. While Washington was being taken into custody another subject exited Target and was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. The second subject was identified as Tysean Pollard.

After searching the vehicle, $1100.00 of counterfeit $100 bills, paper with $100 counterfeit currency printed on it, and a small printer were recovered as evidence. Also recovered was $1098.00 of real US Currency.

It was later discovered six businesses in all were hit by these subjects which included Woodman’s Grocery, Target, Kohl’s, Festival Foods, Walmart, and Shopko. Both Pollard and Washington were arrested and held at the Rock County Jail pending an initial court appearance.

UPDATE: RPD is saying they are doing a follow up investigation to the accident involving a pedestrian on August 17th.  And they had the road shut down for a few hours for them to do a follow up investigation. They have now opened it back up to normal traffic.

Rockford Scanner™: DRUG BUST: Approximately 190 grams of cocaine, approximately 45 grams of heroin, and United States Currency was seized




 

 

 

On Sunday, June 3, 2018, a Boone County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Deputy conducted a traffic stop at the Belvidere Oasis, 2500 Pearl Street, resulting in the arrest of a Wisconsin man on felony drug charges.

Investigators with the Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit were called to assist. During the investigation approximately 190 grams of cocaine, approximately 45 grams of heroin, and United States Currency was seized.

Dajuan M. Nason , age 38, of Madison, Wisconsin was charged with two (2) counts of Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (class X felony). Two (2) counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled substance (Class 1 felony). Nason remains in the custody of the Boone County Jail with no bond.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible. A class X felony is punishable by 6-30 years in the Department of Corrections. A class 1 felony is punishable by 4-15 years in the Department of Corrections.

Rockford Scanner™: Man Stabs A Woman Several Times In A Local Trailer Park




 

 

 

On 06/01/2018 at 1:49 am Ogle County Sheriff’s Office responded to Rolling Meadows trailer park, 4989 N. IL Rt. 251, Davis Junction in reference to a female screaming.

Deputies found a 37 year old female laying in the roadway.

She had been stabbed multiple times.

The victim was transported to Swedish American Hospital and later flown to a Madison hospital were she is listed in critical condition.

Leonard Smith 44, Rockford was taken into custody at the scene.

Smith is currently charged with Aggravated Battery and Aggravated Domestic Battery with a $1,000,000/10% bond.

Additional charges are pending.
