Burglary, Weapons Charges Lead to Arrest
John Neveitt, 30, of McHenry, was charged with Residential Burglary, Theft, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon for allegedly burglarizing a home located in unincorporated McHenry Township about one month ago.
On March 15, deputies were dispatched to a home in the 4700 block of Howard Street, Johnsburg. Upon their arrival, deputies learned that several firearms, jewelry, coins and an undisclosed amount of cash were taken.
An investigation was launched by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, which led to an arrest warrant against Neveitt. On April 9, the McHenry County Apprehension Unit, along with members of the U.S. Marshalls Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, arrested him.
The investigation is ongoing.
