One Vehicle Rollover Accident

On December 2, 2018 at 4:53 AM the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, Linscott Rock Fire Department, and Linscott Rock Ambulance responded to a one vehicle rollover accident with injuries in the 15,000 block East Holcomb Rd.
A white Ford Fusion was eastbound on Holcomb Rd when the driver Jacob Doane, age 20 of Davis Junction, failed to negotiate the curve in the road.  Doane’s vehicle left the north side of Holcomb Rd, striking a tree, and rolling over on its roof.
  Doane was transported to Swedish American Hospital by Linscott Rock Ambulance with minor injuries.  The accident remains under investigation.

One Vehicle Rollover Accident

ON November 29, 2018 AT 4:43 AM THE OGLE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE, LINSCOTT ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT AND LINSCOTT ROCK AMBULANCE RESPONDED TO A ONE VEHICLE ROLLOVER ACCIDENT ON HOLCOMB ROAD AND ARMOUR ROAD.

A GREEN DODGE CARAVAN WAS TRAVELLING WESTBOUND ON HOLCOMB ROAD WHEN THE VEHICLE DROVE INTO THE NORTH DITCH STRIKING A CULVERT. THE VEHICLE THEN WENT AIRBORNE STRIKING A STOP SIGN AND THEN ROLLING OVER SEVERAL TIMES PRIOR TO COMING TO A STOP IN THE FIELD.

THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE HAD LEFT THE SCENE ON FOOT PRIOR TO EMERGENCY VEHICLES ARRIVING.

AFTER A FURTHER INVESTIGATION THE DRIVER KYLE D. SMITH AGE 27 OF BYRON WAS LOCATED AT 109 MAIN ST. HOLCOMB AT 7:24 AM. KYLE WAS UNINJURED FROM THE ACCIDENT AND WAS CITED FOR FAILURE TO REDUCE SPEED TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT, LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT, FAILURE TO REPORT AN ACCIDENT, AND NO VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE.

KYLE WAS GIVEN A JANUARY COURT DATE AND WILL APPEAR IN COURT AT THAT TIME.

 

 

 





Rockford Scanner™: Police Arrest Several More Alleged Suspects Wanted With Warrants



Warrant Arrests

On 09-26-18 the following were arrested for outstanding Ogle County Warrants:
Steven T Bialas, age 40 of Holcomb for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bialas posted the $3,000 10% bond and was released. Bialas will appear in court on 10-19-18 at 9:00 am.

Juan D Olguin, age 36 of Rochelle for Driving While License Suspended. Olguin posted the $3,000 10% bond and was released. Olguin will appear in court on 10-19-18 at 9:00 am.

Daniel Sotelo, age 29 of Mt. Morris for No Valid Driver’s License and Failure to Appear. Sotelo posted the $2,000 10% bond and $383.77 Full Cash Bond and was released. Sotelo will appear in court on 10-19-18 at 9:00 am

 







Rockford Scanner™: Man Robs A Local Bank Earlier Today, Police Arrest Him Short Time Later



 

 

 

On Tuesday 08/07/2018 at approximately 2:04 p.m. the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a hold-up alarm at Holcomb Bank 400 E. IL Rt 38 Creston, IL. Information received indicated a male subject wearing a black hat, Chicago Bears jersey with a bandage on his face obtained an undisclosed amount of United States currency and fled the location on foot.

During the course of the investigation, a Deputy recognized the suspect from previous contacts. William Wayne Clark II was arrested for Robbery a class 2 felony. Clark was transported and housed at the Ogle County Jail.

Clark will appear before an Ogle County Judge on Wednesday 08/08/2018.
