Rockford Scanner™: House Fire in Rockford, Possible Fatal.

The victim has died. The fire is under control.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Sources are reporting a house fire on the East side.

It happened around 3 am at 801 18th st, across from Church Hill Park.

Reports of smoke coming from the house, and flames were seen in the windows.  RFD is on scene laying a booster line to battle the fire.

UPDATE: At least one person has been located inside the residence. Injuries were being reported. Reported to be life threatening and possibly fatal.

There are holes in the floor of the residence. They are telling the firefighters to use extreme caution while battling the fire.

Animal control has been dispatched to the scene.
Sources said 3 pets died in the fire.

Just before 2 am this morning, the Rockford Fire Department were responding to a house fire with children possibly trapped. 

It happened in the 700 block of N Winnebago in Rockford. 

Details are minimal right now. 

Only information we have, there is a house fire near this location and reports of children possibly trapped inside the house.

Rockford Scanner™: Two Dead After A House Fire In Dekalb County



Sunday morning several emergency personnel battled a house fire near Malta, IL. That is located in Dekalb County. 

It happened in the 3300 block of Gurler rd around 1:30 Sunday morning.  

The house and a barn were on fire.  Emergency personnel found two people dead inside the house. 

They have been identified as 75-year-old Marjory Kreda & 74-year-old William Kreda. 

The cause of their deaths are unknown at this time, officials are investigating the cause.
