Motorcycle was traveling EB in the 3700 block of E. State when it collided with an SUV turning left to go WB on E. State. Motorcyclist, a 34 yo male, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

BPD: We are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred at 11:57 p.m. Wednesday on Gateway Boulevard near South Turtle Town Hall Road.
Two individuals were involved on two motorcycles. A 32-year-old Rockford man died on scene. A 30-year-old Rockford man was transported to a Rockford hospital for his injuries, which included the loss of his right foot. That man is currently in stable condition.
We are looking to speak to a third individual who possibly witnessed this accident.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is completing the accident reconstruction.
On Friday, May 10, 2019, at approximately 9:30 pm, Boone County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of Business 20 west of Van Epps Drive, Belvidere, for a one vehicle accident.
Preliminary investigation shows that the vehicle was traveling westbound on Business 20 when it left the roadway and rolled several times. The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver, who was described as a white male, early 40’s, was the only occupant in the vehicle. The driver was transported by Lifeline Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Hospital where he later died. The identity of the driver is not being released at this time.

Eyewitness told us: “We were behind the semi, he hit the cop car I seen the tire fly off I believe the cop car then he swerved to the right and hit the semi pulled over in the front, he then went into the ditch and exploded. I called 911. We went back and when the cops started running we went through the ditch and left”

PECATONICA, IL – Illinois State Police (ISP) Acting Director Brendan F. Kelly regretfully announces the line-of-duty death of ISP District 16 (Pecatonica) Trooper Brooke Jones-Story.
This afternoon, March 28, 2019, at approximately 11:24 a.m., Trooper Brooke Jones-Story, #5966, was inspecting a commercial motor vehicle on United States Route 20 westbound, just west of Illinois Route 75 in Stephenson County. At approximately 12:20 p.m., Trooper Jones-Story was outside her squad car when she was struck and fatally wounded when a truck tractor semi-trailer combination struck her squad car and the semi Trooper Jones-Story was inspecting.
“Today is a dark day for the Illinois State Police family. This is the six-year anniversary of the death of another Trooper, and now another brave soul, Trooper Brooke Jones-Story, has made the ultimate sacrifice for people of this state. At this very moment, the men and women of the ISP are responding and focused on the job and mission, because that’s what Trooper Jones-Story would do,” stated Acting Director Kelly.
Trooper Jones-Story was a 12-year veteran of the Illinois State Police District 16 in Pecatonica.

We been told there is an accident on US 20 near Freeport.
In the westbound lanes of US 20 near 75.
Two semi’s and a state trooper vehicle were involved in the accident.

Sources are reporting a fatal accident in Ogle County.
It happened one day around 1 AM In ogle County in the area of the 1700 block of Liberty Hill.
Oregon Police Department were responding to a burglary call near Mount Morris. While en route to the scene they saw a vehicle traveling eastbound on Route 64 between Mount Morris and Oregon at an extremely high rate of speed and went to chase it.
The officer came upon a vehicle that rolled several times and found the occupant outside the vehicle. He is identified as 34-year-old Joshua Denning of Oregon. He was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
A few hours later police were responding to an unconscious man laying in a yard in the area of Franklin and 5th. That person was identified as Jason Marks. He was later arrested on burglary charges stemming from a January accident.
Police believe he was in the vehicle with Joshua Denning when it crashed.

A fatal accident that occurred at 9:46 p.m. Saturday is under investigation at the intersection of Milwaukee Road and Freeman Parkway in the City of Beloit.
Two vehicles were involved, a semi truck and a minivan. The driver of the minivan, a 56-year-old man, was pronounced deceased on scene. His name is not being released at this time. The driver of the semi truck was uninjured. No other individuals were involved in the accident.
The Wisconsin State Patrol completed the accident reconstruction and the investigation is ongoing. Witness statements advised that the driver of the minivan was headed westbound on Milwaukee Road when he ran the red light and then hit the semi truck.

FATAL ACCIDENT ARREST: A Rockford man is now in custody following a fatal crash. On January 21, 2019, at approximately 12:45 a.m., Rockford Police officers responded to the 1200 block of North Alpine Road for a two-vehicle accident. Upon their arrival, officers learned the male driver of a silver car was traveling northbound on North Alpine Road when he rear-ended a gray, sport utility vehicle which was also northbound on Alpine Road. The driver of the SUV, a 38-year-old Rockford man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is not being released at this time. The passenger of the silver car was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The Rockford Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit conducted a follow-up investigation which revealed speed and alcohol as factors in the accident. The driver of the silver car, the at-fault vehicle, was identified as 25-year-old Joshua Thomas. The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and authorized the charges below. A warrant was obtained, and on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, Thomas was taken into custody.

Thomas was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. The charges against Thomas are merely accusations, and he is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Source said he witnessed a vehicle excessively speeding (Possibly over 100 mph) when the accident happened. A Silver vehicle possibly a Sanata hit a Jeep.
Police are denying any chases.
RPD says a Silver car and a Gray SUV were northbound on Alpine when the car rear-ended the SUV. The driver of the SUV was the one who passed away on scene. Passenger of the car was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries, and the driver of the car was transported with non life threatening injuries. They said speed was a factor in the accident.
