Simulated Aircraft Disaster Drill

All commercial service airports are required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to conduct a full-scale simulated disaster drill every three years.
RFD will be conducting a simulated aircraft disaster drill on Friday, April 26, 2019.
As part of the exercise, we need up to 100 volunteers to be “victims” of the disaster.  All volunteers will play a vital role in the drill.  We need victims of all ages (juveniles under the age of 16 must have parental consent and be accompanied by an adult).
All approved volunteers must be present at 7:00 a.m. that morning.
The RFD Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Unit, as well as area fire departments, ambulance services, and emergency management agencies will be participating in the drill.
Volunteers will be selected on a first come, first served basis.  Individual information needs to be submitted by Friday,. April 12.  Individuals will need to submit their full name, date of birth and contact information.  A background check is required to gain access to the secure area of the airport.  Once selected, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with details as to time, place, and other pertinent details.
