Sources are reporting a vehicle on fire this morning in the area of Kilburn and Springfield.

It is not yet known if there were any injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Rockford Scanner™: Rockford fire department battling an apartment fire, Possible multiple injuries being reported


Around 1 AM the Rockford Fire Department were responding to an apartment fire. It happened in the 800 block of N. Court St. Multi family apartment complex.

There is confirmed smoke in the first floor hallway. Several people are reporting smoke inhalation and several ambulances are en route to the scene. Medical are staging at N Court and Fisher ave.

There is still at least one person inside the building that was going door-to-door that is now on the second floor of the structure and possibly trapped.

UPDATE: Fire under control at 1:08 am. 2 confirmed victims. Male in his late 20’s and a male in his 60’s. Both have smoke inhalation. 805 North Court Street. Fire is under control in an apartment on the first floor. Heavy smoke was noted throughout the building. Two building occupants transported with non life threatening injuries for smoke inhalation
