Human Trafficking John Sting

On 03-20-2019 the Janesville Police Department, Beloit Police Department, Clinton Police Department, Beloit Township Police Department, Rock County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI), District Attorney’s Office, Janesville Fire Department and the Baymont by Wyndham Hotel collaborated on a Human Trafficking John Sting.

Baymont by Wyndham located 616 Midland Rd in Janesville graciously donated three rooms for the operation.

The purpose of this collaboration was to target those who support the human trafficking trade by soliciting woman for sex acts in exchange for money. We are taking a multi-prong approach to the human trafficking problem. First we reach out to the victims of human trafficking and offer resources to help them get out of the life style. Tonight we went after those that make human trafficking profitable.

During the operation 25-30 men reached out to us requesting sex acts. Three arrests were made for pandering when men should up at the hotel.
