RS sources are reporting a scene in downtown Rockford.

It happened overnight at the city hall.

A few citizens were nearby on the curb area, when a vehicle jumped the curb and ran into a planter at the city hall.

RPD said they had reports of 2 people that damaged the extremely heavy planter.

In the video, you can clearly see the tire marks from a vehicle jumping the curb.

In the video it shows that city hall has cameras very close to the incident.

RS is going to file a Freedom Of Information Act request, for a copy of the survellience video from the incident.

Several officers were on scene. They detained 2 individuals but quickly let them go after realizing they were not the suspects.

The possible suspect vehicle involved is a Red truck.
