WCHD: At this time, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Winnebago County. All specimens from Winnebago County submitted to the Illinois Department of Public Health have confirmed negative results.
As of today, Tuesday, March 10, the Winnebago County Health Department has not recommended any school closures in our community.
This is a rapidly changing situation. The Winnebago County Health Department, along with our local healthcare partners, local health departments in the region, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are monitoring the situation and working to protect the public’s health.
Prevent the Spread of Illness
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
- Cover your cough or sneeze
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
