Rockford Scanner™: Suspects Crash into a S Beloit Squad During A Police Chase

Beloit PD:

We have taken four individuals into custody following a report that an individual pulled a gun on a group of people in the 900 block of Fourth Street at 12:24 am Saturday, Dec. 7.

The reporting individual provided a suspect vehicle description, which our officers spotted near Fourth Street and Henry Avenue. The vehicle fled from officers, which resulted in a pursuit in Beloit and South Beloit. The vehicle came to a stop in South Beloit off of Highway 75 after the suspects smashed into a South Beloit squad car. No injuries occurred during the incident. However, two individuals switched as drivers during the pursuit, so both are facing a felony fleeing charge.

The following individuals were taken in to custody:

– A 15-year-old Beloit male for fleeing/eluding and recklessly endangering safety, as well as other traffic-related charges.
– Alexa M. Torres, 19, of Beloit for fleeing/eluding; she also faces charges in Illinois as she was driving when the vehicle struck the South Beloit squad.
– Donta J. Evans Pound, 26, of Beloit, possession with intent to deliver cocaine and possession with intent to deliver marijuana.
– A 16-year-old Beloit male cited for disorderly conduct, obstructing, and curfew violation.
