The Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit concludes a two month drug investigation with the arrest of a Rockford man on felony drug charges. During the investigation a vehicle, cocaine, and a substance reported to be heroin was seized.
Antonio D. Williams, age 20, was charged with one count of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance (class 2 felony) and one count of Unlawful Delivery of a Look a Like Substance (class 3 felony).
On Monday, December 9th, 2019, Belvidere Police and Boone County Sheriff’s patrol officers assisted the Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit with a traffic stop in the 3000 block of Business Rt 20 on a vehicle in which Williams was a passenger. Williams was taken into custody without incident.
A Class 2 felony is punishable by 3-7 years in the Department of Corrections and a Class 3 felony is punishable by 2-5 years in the Department of Corrections.
