SPECIAL TRIBUTE: The Rockford Police Department was invited to attend the Veterans Day program at Boylan Central Catholic High School last night. Producer Larry Cappetto presented his film “Lest They Be Forgotten” in honor of veterans, and he also took time to recognize fallen Ofc. Jaimie Cox. Mr. Cappetto performed “I Pledge Allegiance” (a song he wrote) for the audience, which included Ofc. Cox’s family.

We appreciate the support he gives not only to those who serve our country, but to those who serve locally as first responders.

Honoring those who served.

VETERANS, WE THANK YOU.This weekend is a time to honor those who have protected this great nation. We are proud to say that nearly 70 Rockford Police Officers served or are currently serving in the military. Hear some of their stories in this video. Thank you to all the men and women who sacrificed countless hours with their families to fight for our country.
