Rockford Scanner™: Rockford Man Sentenced To Federal Prison For Shining A Laser At An Airplane From His House





 

Sources are reporting that 45-year-old Brenton Wells has allegedly been sentenced to 15 months in federal prison for shining a laser pointer and keeping it on the airplane as it flew over his house near 1460 Williamsburg in Rockford back in December 2018. He allegedly made a plea bargain, and was sentenced to 15 months in Federal prison and 3 years of probation after he is released. 

Officer Jordan Austin from the RPD made the arrest for 720 5/26-7(b)(2) : DIS CON/AIM LASER/AIRCRAFT.
