Rockford Scanner™: Possible Fatal Hit & Run in Rockford

  • by

Rockford Police at the scene were not able to tall me anything other than:
They can not tell me anything, and it was not related to the Court st call, and unknown how long it will be closed off for.

From what I gathered from looking at the scene:
It appears a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in front of the Discovery Center.
Personal items were laying in the roadway and police had the police crime scene tape up around the personal items.
I did not see any vehicles nearby, so it might be a hit and run.

Note: Usually when the police tape is up at an accident scene, it usually means it is a fatal, or they believe it might be a fatal soon.

We did call the media line, and like usual no answer.

If police release information, we will update this.
