Several sources have reported to us some very poor road conditions in the area. Several are reporting large snow drifts and a lot of black ice. Several minor accidents have been reported to us, a lot of them have reported the poor road conditions were a factor in several of the accidents that were reported to us.
Generally quiet conditions will continue through the first part of the weekend. Thursday will feature milder temperatures ahead of a cold front but it will be breezy. Friday will be much colder and Friday night will be the coldest night of the upcoming stretch.
Then after a quiet daytime on Saturday, we’re watching the potential for a few waves of snow, first on Saturday night into Sunday and next Sunday night through Monday, with accumulations possible in both. A wintry mix will also be possible for portions of the area, mainly south of I-80.
