Rockford Scanner: Police Working A “Chase Scene” in Rockford

Officers working a scene on Albert ave in Rockford Illinois

Approx. 1:40 am this morning the Rockford Police were working a chase scene on the West side.

Reports of a chase on the West side.   (Unknown if a police chase, or if it was between 2 citizens)

Police were out with one of the vehicles involved, in the 700 block of Albert.

(Note: Unknown if it is related, but we have gotten reports of 2 vehicles crashing into each other as they were going down the roadway in the same area.)

Several officers were out with a vehicle.

A male driver was still inside the vehicle.  And a female was out talking with police.

Several more officers were searching the neighborhood.

Unknown why they were searching the neighborhood, at the time of posting this.

It appeared to me that someone fled on foot, but obviously not yet confirmed.

The vehicle at the scene had a busted windshield.
It appeared that at some point a person had hit the windshield.
Unknown if that happened at this incident or at a different time.
