Rockford Scanner™: Pedestrian Hit By A Vehicle, Large Gas Spill

RS source

Sources are reporting 2 different accident scenes.

The first one happened at S Main and Harrison ave. A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.

RS source said:   “I saw it go down, kind of. I was at the parking lot at the Shell, facing South Main and Harrison. I looked up and saw a person running around in the intersection hitting a car with a baseball bat. The car circles around and then runs over the person wielding the bat! The person tried to get up and keep swinging but they staggered around and went down again. I ran over to where there was a Sheriffs Deputy sitting at the Shell station (there were a couple
of them there, dealing with something else) and I told him what I’d seen. And he went over and dealt with it. The car who did the running over was pulled over, I am glad that they didn’t flee. By then the ambulance had arrived. Person was sitting up, but bleeding. It was really f*cked up, I wonder what this was all about”

The other accident scene happened near Harrison and East Rock.  (Near the post office on Harrison)
Approx. 53 gallons of fuel has been spilled.

Both scenes are under investigation, avoid these areas.
