Rockford Scanner: Man Arrested For His 6th OWI





 


 

On 9-11-20 at 1:59 AM Janesville Police observed a vehicle traveling east on Blackbridge Rd that was swerving within the lane of travel. The officer also noticed the license plates on the vehicle did not match the vehicle that what being driven. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was later identified with a Wisconsin ID card as Mark Carlson.

Carlson displayed signs of intoxication and refused standard field sobriety tests. Officers arrested the Carlson who later submitted to a blood test with results pending.

A Department of Transportation check showed Carlson has 5 prior OWI convictions.

Carlson was held at the Rock County Jail pending an initial appearance in court.

Arrested: Carlson, Mark S. age 59 of Janesville
Charge: 346.63 (1)(A) OWI 6th offense
Citations: Operate after revocation due to alcohol, no insurance, and displaying unauthorized registration plate
