Rockford Scanner™: Large Drug Bust In Rockford

On Thursday, July 11th, at approximately 7:30 p.m. the Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit was assisted by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office and United States Drug Enforcement Administration with the execution of a search warrant in the 1000 block of 39th Avenue in Rockford during which a 25 year old Rockford man was arrested.
During a search of the residence approximately 264 grams of cocaine, 5,000 grams of cannabis, and $2,300 United States Currency was seized.
Pablo Mora, age 25, was charged with Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (100-400 grams cocaine) a class X felony and Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver Cannabis (more than 5,000 grams) a class X felony.
Mora, who is currently on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections for a previous Boone County narcotics violation was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. The Investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are possible.
A Class X felony is punishable by 6-30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
