Rockford Scanner™: Fully Engulfed House Fire in Machesney Park

  • by

UPDATE:

Deputies from the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Police and firefighters from Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department along with several other fire departments responded to a house fire in the 7000 block of Mullenshire Way in Machesney Park at approximately 4:34 p.m. today. This fire was reported to authorities after a resident of the home was notified by a neighbor that their garage was on fire. Three occupants of the home escaped from the residence unharmed. The cause of the fire is under investigation but there is no evidence to believe it was deliberately ignited. The fire at the first house rendered the structure a total loss. High winds caused a house next door to the north of the primary residence to sustain $25,000 in damage
