Harlem-Roscoe Firefighters responded to a report of smoke in the basement on Stonington Way at 6:05 am this morning (Jan. 21st). HRFD Fire Chief Shoevlin reports, “We were dispatched for a basement fire.
Upon arrival firefighters found a fire in a garbage can in the basement. Quick action by our personnel contained the fire to contents only. Fire appears to be accident and caused by smoking materials.
” Thank you to our auto aid departments for their assistance with this call.
