Just before 3:30 pm today, several emergency personnel were responding to a rollover accident with injuries and extrication is needed to cut at least one person out of the vehicle.

It happened in the area of Kishwaukee and 8th ave.

Note: There was a rollover accident earlier near Kishwaukee and College. Not related to this accident.

There is an accident near this location.

Injuries were being reported.

Extrication is being requested.

Avoid the area or expect long traffic delays

Thunderstorms are expected to redevelop this evening and tonight across far northern Illinois. A tropical, moisture rich air mass will promote efficient and heavy rainfall rates.

Thunderstorms may regenerate or move over areas already impacted by heavy rainfall resulting in flash flooding.

…FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING..

The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a:

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of north central Illinois and northeast Illinois, including the following areas, in north central Illinois, Boone, DeKalb, Lee, Ogle, and Winnebago. In northeast Illinois, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake IL, and McHenry.
* From 7 PM CDT this evening through Sunday morning
*Repeated rounds of thunderstorms producing very heavy rainfall may result in flash flooding. * Expect rises on area rivers and streams.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Around 1:30 pm today, several emergency personnel were responding to a rollover accident with possible entrapment

It happened at the area of Kishwaukee and College. 

There is a rollover accident near this intersection. 

Extrication was requested, but cancelled. 

Injuries were reported. At least two ambulances have been dispatched to the scene. 

Avoid this area for awhile, or expect delays

Sources are reporting another shooting incident in Rockford. 

Reports of multiple shots in the area of Broadway and 6th st. 

It is not yet clear if there is an actual shooting victim yet. 

But shots were fired in the area.

Sources are reporting a Rockford business was burglarized around 1 am this morning.  Reports of several police officers on the scene and have a perimeter set up in the area. 

A business in the area of Greenwood and Warren was burglarized. 

No suspect information, due to the encryption.

Rockford Scanner™: Shots Fired Out At Rock Cut State Park, Still Developing



UPDATE: Officers said after investigating, it was determined that shots were not fired in the area. And the person who was reporting it (was 10-96), heard a water bottle in a bonfire nearby and thought it was shots fired. Police are now back in service.

 


Sources are reporting shots fired out at Rock Cut State Park just before 11 PM tonight. Shots were fired in the area of the campground at Rock Cut State Park. 

No injuries were reported. 

Possible suspect vehicle is a black truck. 

Several officers are en route.

Rockford Scanner™: Helicopter Assisting Local Police Combat Crime This Holiday Weekend



Several fans have contacted us in regards to a helicopter that is flying around the area.

The helicopter is assisting the local police tonight and also through the holiday weekend in combating crime.

Police have made several releases over the last few days saying they are cracking down of criminals this holiday weekend. The Department Of Homeland Security assists the local police in combating crime.

This helicopter has assisted the local police on several occasions in the past. The helicopter has at least one local police officer in it, to relay communications to the officers on the ground.

The technology on the helicopter is very high tech and can easily help combat crime and assist the officers on the ground.

The helicopter is used in a variety of situations. From roadblocks, special patrols, violent crime scenes, chasing criminals, etc…

Last week there was shots fired near the Auburn High School area. The RPD said they were cracking down and doing special patrols.

The helicopter has been assisting the police and providing security for the local schools, and the Winnebago County area tonight and for the holiday weekend.

 

 








Rockford Scanner™: Rollover Accident With Injuries In Ogle County



 

On August 30th, approximately 7:55AM, Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a one vehicle rollover accident in the 2200 block of W Montague Rd.

The driver and lone occupant, Deryl Beyer, was transported (by German Valley Fire/ambulance) to Freeport Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries
