UPDATE: On September 14, 2016 around 10:22AM a 39 year old black male Rockford resident was shot during an Armed Robbery incident to a citizen. This occurred in the 1100 block Of Brooke Road. The victim was transported to a Rockford area hospital for a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim described the suspect vehicle as a unique dark blue color GMC Envoy. The victim described the suspect as a black male, short black hair, late 20’s, 6’0″ and around 200 lbs. There are no suspects in custody at this time. The investigation is on going.
Several Rockford Scanner fans have said there was a possible shooting in the area of Kishwaukee and Brooke. They said several officers are on scene and have the area blocked off. Reports of at least one person being shot. The possible suspect information is a Blue SUV.
Rockford police are encrypted, so we are awaiting to see if the RPD releases any information on this shooting. If they do, we will update this
Around 11:30 am this morning emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of Alpine and Riverside for an auto accident. Unknown on injuries at the time of writing this. On Monday, September 12, 2016 the BELVIDERE POLICE DEPARTMENT, BELVIDERE FIRE DEPARTMENT, and ILLINOIS STATE FIRE MARSHAL’S OFFICE concluded a 17 month investigation with the arrest of a Belvidere man on multiple counts of ARSON.
TYLER W. FAHEY, 23 years old of Belvidere, Illinois, was charged with one count of AGGRAVATED ARSON (class X felony) one count of ARSON (class 2 felony) and one count of BURGLARY (class 2 felony). Fahey remains in the Boone County Jail on a $500,000.00 (10%) bond.
On April 11, 2015 the Belvidere Police Department and Belvidere Fire Department responded to the 1300 block of Fairgrounds Rd., Belvidere, Boone County, IL for a vehicle that had been set on fire. Belvidere Fire Department Arson Investigators deemed the fire to be arson and Belvidere Police detectives were called to the scene.
On August 30, 2016 the Belvidere Fire Department responded to the 100 block of S. State Street, Belvidere, Il for a structure fire. The Belvidere Fire Department’s Arson Investigator, Belvidere Police Detectives, assisted by the Illinois State Fire Marshal’s Arson Investigator, conducted a coordinated and comprehensive investigation. Thanks to tips from the community and security surveillance video,investigators developed information that resulted in a search warrant of a residence in the 3500 block of Business Rte. 20, Belvidere, Il. Detectives recovered evidence pertinent to the arson investigations and developed information pertaining to a related burglary.
Detectives presented the information they had discovered throughout their investigations to the BOONE COUNTY STATE’S ATTORNEY’S OFFICE, which resulted in the authorization of one count of Aggravated Arson, one count of Arson, and one count of Burglary for Fahey.
A class X felony is punishable by six (6) to thirty (30) years in the Department of Corrections. A class 2 felony is punishable by three (3) to seven (7) years in the Department of Corrections.
The Belvidere Police Department encourages anyone having information pertaining to these crimes, or any other to call the Belvidere Police Department at 815-544-2135 or Crime Stoppers at 815-547-7867. Information leading to an arrest and conviction can be subject to a cash reward.
Around 1:54 am this morning the Rockford Fire Department were dispatched to the area of 506 Howard in Rockford. Scanner traffic is saying there is a stabbing victim near this location. The victim was stabbed in the back area. At the time of dispatch, it was not yet known on the severity of the injuries.
Rockford police are encrypted, so there is no suspect information.
UPDATE: They requested another ambulance to the scene, sounds like there might be another victim but not confirmed. But they did request a second ambulance to the scene.
On 091316 at around 1614 hours, Officers of the Rockford Police Department responded to the intersection of School St and N Henrietta Ave reference multiple calls for “shots fired”. Upon arrival, Officers determined that one of the occupants of a small grey four-door vehicle was shooting at the rider of a red four-wheeled ATV. No victims were located or reported at the time of this investigation. Around 3:40 pm today the New Milford FD called out a MABAS for mutual aid to help assist with a structure fire near 2620 Tenton Drive. The street name was hard to hear. There is a garage on fire. It is detached and is approx 15 feet away from another structure. Several area fire departments are en route to assist with the fire
On 9-13-16 at about 0052 hours officers responded to the 3000 block of Latham reference a home invasion. 3 to 4 unknown race males kicked in the rear door of a residence, entered, and demanded money from the residents. The males were wearing facemasks and one of the males was armed with a handgun. The males battered the homeowner and left via the rear door with property from the home. This investigation is currently ongoing.
At 6:15am, Rockford Police officers were sent to the intersection of 11th St and Broadway in reference to a strong arm robbery to a taxi cab driver.
The driver for Action Taxi said he was stopped at the intersection for the red light when the two suspects approached the driver’s door. One of the suspects demanded his money and punched him several times in the face. The driver handed over his wallet and money before the suspects then fled the area on foot.
The suspects were described a two white males 18 to 20 years old 5″07″ to 5’11” with one wearing a black shirt and tan shorts and the other wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. The driver was not seriously injury and did not seek medical treatment and once the ambulance arrived on scene, refused treatment.
On 091216 at around 1908 hours, Officers of the Rockford Police Department responded to calls for “shots fired” at 1019 West St. Upon arrival, Officers found that 1019 West St had been struck twice by gunfire. There were no gunshot victims at this scene. Witnesses reported that the shots came from a small grey four-door vehicle which was occupied by four male subjects. Anyone with information regarding this incident are encouraged to contact the Rockford Police Department via the non-emergency phone number.

Around 9:30 pm tonight several emergency personnel were dispatched to PA Peterson at 1311 Parkview Ave. Scanner traffic is saying the furnace is on fire inside the building. Several emergency personnel are en route
Around 4 pm today there were several officers from the Loves Park police and Winnebago County sheriff near Frances ave in Loves Park. They had the crime scene tape up and guns drawn and the road blocked off. At the time of writing this, it is not yet known exactly what happened.

Rockford police just released this information, It happened awhile back ago, but just released this a few minutes ago:
On Thursday, June 11, 2015, Patrol Officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to the parking lot of the Wal-Mart store, 3849 Northridge Dr., in reference to a welfare check. When they arrived they located a 72-year-old victim, Harland Dascher Jr., bleeding from apparent stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital by the Fire Department ambulance where he died as a result of his injuries. The name of the victim is not being released at this time pending family notification. Detectives from District 3 are conducting a follow up investigation into the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Rockford Police Department or CrimeStoppers.
Detectives from the Rockford Police Department conducted a follow-up investigation into the incident and suspect information was shared with area law enforcement agencies. On June 14, 2015 the suspect, 55-year-old Steven Pritchett, was arrested by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Police on unrelated charges. Based on the information that had been shared, the Sheriff’s Department contacted Rockford Police Department investigators for further follow-up.
The results of the subsequent investigation were reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office. As a result, on July 11, 2016, Pritchett was charged with First Degree Murder after being indicted by a Winnebago County Grand Jury.
The Rockford Police Department would like to thank the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Police for their assistance in this investigation.
The suspect is currently lodged in the Winnebago County Jail.
