Around 1:30 pm today officers were responding to an armed robbery to a business at 1110 S Main at Delicious Bakery. A younger male armed with a gun, just robbed the bakery. ~ Via Un-Encrypted airwaves of other departments
On Wednesday November 23, 2016 around 1:30pm, Rockford Police Officers responded to the Delicious Bakery at 1110 S. Main St in reference to an armed robbery to the business. Officers learned that the suspect entered the store armed with a handgun. He pointed the gun at one of the employees before removing the cash register from the front corner. The suspect fled the store while carrying the cash register. One employee pursued the suspect until he dropped the register in the alley behind the business. The suspect was last seen riding a dark colored bicycle he had in the alley heading east on Loomis St toward the river. At the time of the robbery, there weer 3 employees in the business. No one was hurt during this robbery. The suspect was described as a Hispanic Male 5’05” to 5’07” 150lbs wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt.
ROCKFORD – On Saturday November 26, 2015, beginning at 6:00 a.m. State St. between Church St. and Madison St. will be closed to motorists as well as Municipal Lot 4 at State & Jefferson, and Municipal lot 28 at 2nd St. and Market, for preparation for the Merry and Bright Stroll on State Downtown Celebration. Beginning at 12:00 p.m. no vehicle access will be allowed on E. State from 3rd St. to Church St. as well as side streets intersecting State between Jefferson St. and Walnut/Chestnut Streets. The closures will remain in effect until 12:00 a.m. (midnight).
In addition this year, the south curb lane of the Jefferson St. Bridge, the north curb lane of the Chestnut Street Bridge, along with Municipal Lot 1 and Lot 3 which are located in the Wyman & Mulberry blocks will be closed to the public by noon. Vehicular traffic will still be allowed on the remaining lanes of both bridges.
Proper traffic control devices will be in place and motorists are urged to use caution while driving in the area due to increased pedestrian traffic.
Access to all local businesses will still be available with parking available one block north or south of E. State St. and near Main St. District shops.
Motorists are urged to use Jefferson St. from the East and Chestnut St. from the West to access the many events in the downtown area including Handel’s Messiah Concert at Trinity Lutheran, which has a new starting time this year of 3:00 p.m.
Event parking in all the Main Street North and Church Street South parking deck structures will be available at a flat rate of $5.00 per vehicle. There are many surface lots and on street parking available at no cost.
The Rockford Mass Transit District has partnered with the Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau to offer free park and ride shuttle service to the downtown event area from 3 locations beginning at 3:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. The YMCA parking lot at Madison St. & Y Blvd., and the Heartland Community Church Parking lot at Alpine & Newberg Rd. and Illinois Bank and Trust at 4820 E. State St. (across from Don Carter Lanes). Those attending any of the events downtown are encouraged to use this service to avoid congestion and enjoy their event experience. Volunteers will be at all locations to guide patrons.
Just before 12:30 there was an armed robbery at a barber shop.

The location is in the 1500 block of 7th. 2 Male blacks wearing dark clothing last seen in a black or dark green vehicle that was occupied by approx. 7 suspects. Black grand prix with tinted windows is also possibly involved. Last seen on 15th ave westbound.
On Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 1217 hours, Rockford Police Officers responded to Top-Notch Cutz located at 1535 7th St in reference to an Armed Robbery. Upon arrival, officers met with the complainant and several customers who were inside of the business during the course of the incident which was later determined to be an Aggravated Assault. The victim left the scene prior to officers arrival. Preliminary investigations indicate two black males entered the business and one of them was armed with a handgun. The armed suspect approached an adult black male customer and pointed a handgun at the customer. The suspects left the business shortly after the assault. Possible suspect vehicles are a dark green BMW SUV and dark gray sedan with tinted windows. This investigation is still on going.
On 11-22-16 at approximately 11:42 PM Rockford Police Officers responded to the Phillips 66 gas station located at 4492 Linden Road reference to an Armed Robbery. Officers met with the clerk who advised that two suspects had entered the store, one armed with a handgun.
The clerk advised the suspect with the handgun struck him in the head, causing a small laceration, and demanded the currency from the register. The clerk advised the suspects removed the currency from the cash register and fled the store. The clerk described the suspects as two black males in their early twenties.
The clerk suffered a minor injury which was treated at the scene.

Around 11:53 pm tonight a broadcast came across the un-encrypted airwaves of the Illinois State police in reference to an armed robbery to a business in Rockford.
It happened at the Phillip 66 in the 4400 block of Linden rd
The suspects are described as two black males around 19 years old. One had a blue hooded shirt.
Last seen on the west side of the building
Around 7 PM, Rockford fire department were dispatched to East State Street and Easton Parkway (University Drive). Scanner traffic essay and there is a very bad accident near this intersection. Injuries are being reported. At least one person is trapped in extrication is being needed. This is still developing. Please avoid the area
Around 5 pm today officers were dispatched for an accident that happened near N Alpine and Polaris. A boat trailer slid off the vehicle and crashed into a yard on the east side of the roadway. Sounds like it may have hit a house also, but not confirmed. The Red boat did crash into a pole. No injuries were reported.
Around 3:52 pm today several emergency personnel were dispatched to RT 76 and 173 in Boone County.
Scanner traffic is saying there is an auto accident that involves 3 vehicles.
Multiple injuries were being reported.

Just before 2:30 pm today several agencies were dispatched to I-90 near the stateline. There is a multiple vehicle accident with injuries near the rest stop. On Monday, 11/21/16 at approximately 2346 hours, officers responded to the area of Kilburn and Garfield in reference to an Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking. The victim advised police that she was delivering pizzas to an address on Summerdale, when she slowed down to look for the exact numbers. The victim said two Hispanic males approached the passenger side of her vehicle, and the “taller” suspect opened the front passenger door. The victim advised the suspect put a handgun to her back, and told her to get out and leave the keys in the ignition. The victim got out of her vehicle, and the taller suspect got in the driver’s seat, while the shorter suspect got in the passenger seat. The vehicle left EB on Summerdale, and the victim called 911 to report the incident.
The suspects are described as follows:

SUSP 2 – H/M SHORTER ALL BLK CLOTHING

It was determined in a follow-up investigation that the address on Summerdale (where the pizzas were being delivered) is not a valid address. This incident is currently under investigation.
Update: The carjacking happened near Kilburn and Gladstone. They recovered the vehicle, but the suspects are still on the loose. Sounds like in the neighborhood of Halsted and Huffman. Two Hispanic male suspects.
They crashed on Ridge between Halsted and Belmont
Just before midnight police were chasing a carjacking suspect. The information came across the un-encrypted airwaves of the county. Also via a few RS fans who witnessed the chase. Details are very minimal right now, due to the Rockford Police being encrypted.
But there was a carjacking. The suspect is a Hispanic male. The police were chasing the suspect in the area of Halsted and Ridge. A fan said the vehicle has a pizza delivery sign on top
Note: So we assume from this information, a robbery/carjacking happened to a pizza delivery driver in Rockford and police are now chasing the suspect.

On November 21st, 2016 at 6:44 p.m. Rockford Police Officers responded to the 1700 block of Post Ave in reference to an armed robbery. Preliminary investigations revealed that a 51 year old female had just parked her vehicle curb side and was walking towards her residence when she was confronted by a suspect armed with a handgun. The suspect demanded her purse which she handed over to him. The suspect then ran from the area and the victim was not injured.
The suspect was described as a light skinned black male, late teens to early 20’s, 5’-5”, thin build wearing dark jeans and black hoodie.
The incident is currently under investigation.
