The Rockford Fire Department responded to the intersection of Kishwaukee and Harrison Avenue for a two vehicle accident involving injuries.
First fire department units arrived on scene within six minutes and reported a two vehicle accident involving two sedans with heavy damage to both vehicles.
The response was upgraded and required one occupant to be extricated from the damaged vehicle. The patient was safely extricated from the vehicle and transferred to medical personnel.
The patient was transported to OSF for further evaluation. Two other patients involved in the accident were also transported to area hospitals for evaluation. The condition of the three patients is unknown at this time.
The Rockford Police Department was on scene and assisted with traffic control and investigation. No fire department personnel were injured during this incident.
