Rockford Scanner®: Man Arrested For Business Robbery & Hostage Situation

On 11/7/2018 at 01:45 am officers responded to 5 Points Grocery and Beverage at 600 W Milwaukee St for an armed robbery. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded currency from the clerk. The suspect stole items from the convenience store and currency. The person then fled from the business leaving items behind, which aided in the identification of the suspect. Officers were able to determine the suspect was Carlos Ford.

On 11/7/2018 at 04:19 am officers responded to a residence in the 2500 block of N Sumac. The response was to a call of a hostage situation.

The suspect in this second call was determined to be Carlos Ford. Officers made contact with Ford and a female when they exited the residence. Ford resisted arrest, but was able to be taken into custody.

One officer did sustain a minor injury while taking Ford into custody. There is still additional information being followed up on in regards to this investigation.

Armed Robbery – 943.32 – Felony
Obstructing/Resisting – 946.41(2m) – Felony

Rockford Scanner™: Attempted Kidnapping In Rockford, Still Developing



Sources reporting an attempted kidnapping near Jefferson and Oakley in Rockford.  It happened around 5:30 pm

Details are minimal, due to the police encryption. 

Safe to assume the suspect got away and still roaming the streets of Rockford.  RPD has yet to release information. 


After posting this, we got reports from sources of another attempted kidnapping incident that happened in Rockford, on Thursday.  It happened near Welsh elementary.  Unknown if these incidents are related.

*UPDATE: Sources reporting the incident happened near N Church and Burton  and the suspect from this incident is described a man with purple hair in a red vehicle

Rockford Police has yet to release information on this incident as well.








Rockford Scanner™: Woman Possibly Kidnapped Downtown Rockford, While She Snap Chats Saying Someone Is Following Her

UPDATE: RPD still has yet to release information on this.  But sources are reporting the woman in the video is now home safe. We can not confirm this yet, but wanted to give everyone an update. 


Several sources have contacted us and sent us the snap chat video of a woman who was allegedly downtown last night. While she was downtown, she snap chatted and said someone is following me and then the screen goes dark and you can hear muffled screams in the video.

We can not confirm this is true, but wanted to share just in case it was. 

RPD confirms there was a “Check for well being, at 205 W State just after 2 am. No other details were provided by the RPD and will not confirm nor deny if it is related to this video.

On Thursday, May 10, 2018, District 2 patrol officers and officers from the Rockford Police Department’s S.C.O.P.E. Team conducted an undercover human trafficking operation targeting “Johns”.

CHARGES: Solicitation of a Sex Act

ARRESTED: Ndayiragjer, Jiriberi 22 years old, Rockford, IL
CHARGES: Solicitation of a Sex Act
Obstructing Identification

ARRESTED: Moore, Peter 20 years old, Loves Park, IL
CHARGES: Solicitation of a Sex Act

The charges against these arrestees are merely accusations and not evidence of their guilt. As with defendants in all criminal cases, they are considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.
