Awesome Job RFD!!! : Rockford FD Revive A Cat During A House Fire, 1 Person Injured

Rockford Fire Department have released the following on todays house fire. 

It happened around 11:20 am in the 1400 block of Jackson. 

Initial reports were saying there was a house fire with a possible victim inside the residence. 

28 firefighters, 3 engines, 2 ladder trucks, 2 chiefs, and 2 ambulances arrived on scene within 3 minutes of the dispatch. When RFD arrived on scene they confirmed smoke was showing and a person on the porch. The person needed medical attention.  RFD searched the residence and did not locate any other victims. They did locate a cat.


Rockford FD firefighters revived the cat.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and ventilate the structure.

Fire Investigations Bureau is leading the investigation.

Red Cross is assisting the victims. 

Estimated damages are approx. $25,000.00
