Sources are reporting an accident with extrication needed, in Machesney Park.  It happened just before 7 pm tonight in the area of West ln and Continental (East of Alpine)

Extrication was requested to cut a victim out of a vehicle.

Injuries were being reported. We have heard conflicting reports on the severity of the injuries. So it is unclear how bad the injuries are.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Reports of a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle near this location.

Injuries were being reported. It is not yet known on the severity of the injuries.

Sources are reporting an accident with multiple injuries.

It happened near Rockton and Whitman around 6 pm tonight.

Reports of a vehicle that was smoking and possibly on fire.
When RFD arrived on scene, they confirmed no fire.

Multiple injuries were being reported.
At least 2 ambulances were on scene

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Police Release Information On A Fatal Accident That Killed A Rockford Woman




 

This is a follow-up to our original Press Release on Saturday, 08-24-2019, concerning a two vehicle accident on Afolkey Road, near Mill Road in which one individual was fatally injured.

During the investigation of the accident, it was found that a Toyota Camry driven by Amya Fleming, age 19, of Freeport was traveling south bound on Afolkey Road, when it crossed the center line striking a Mercury Mariner driven by Caitlin Robinson, age 21, of Rockford Illinois.

Caitlin Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Amya Fleming was transported by Lifeline helicopter to OSF St. Anthony’s hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. Amya Fleming is currently listed in critical, but stable condition. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: 2 Scenes: possible Business Raided in Rockford, Female Restrained In The Road in Machesney park




Sources are reporting 2 different scenes earlier today.

  • Sources said  approx. 20 police officers at or near the Boost Mobile on Auburn. They said it appeared to be a raid at the business.  We have tried to get info. from the RPD on the incident, but we have yet to hear back from them. We will update this, as more info. becomes available.

    UPDATE: RPD said they were unaware of any police activity there.  Witnesses said approx. 20 officers on scene.  We had numerous reports of the officers on scene. But RPD is saying they aren’t aware of any scenes there or near there.

  • Several officers were on scene near the Burger King in Machesney Park on Roosevelt. Sources said a person had a female restrained in the roadway near this location, until police arrived.  Police have not released any information.

Update: Deitrich T. said:  “I drove past the Boost on Auburn and the guys I saw standing outside had ‘Federal Agent’ on their vests”

After we posted this article  Kevin F.  said: “Secret service was on the corner of Broadway and 7th around noon…… closed down a corner store. Agents inside were putting everything in the store in evidence bags.”

Sources are reporting an accident with injuries that happened this morning on Rockford’s East side. 

It happened near Spring Creek and Mulford. 

There were reports of injuries, sources said the injuries were believed to be non life threatening, but officials have yet to confirm this. 

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Rockford Scanner™: Power Outage, Trees Down, Auto Accident On The East Side




Reports of a few scenes on the East side. 

  • The areas of Rolling Green neighborhood, Alpine, Newburg,  Broadway etc…  are reported to be without power. Approx. 1,500 customers are without power. The estimated restore time is approx 5:30 pm. 
  • There are trees that took down some wires near Alpine and Newburg.
