Rockford Scanner™: Sources Are Reporting A Vehicle Blew Up In Rockford




Update:  There were 2 vehicle fires around the same time.  First one was on N Horsman.  While emergency personnel were on scene there another vehicle was on fire in the alleyway near the 2100 block of Elm st.

Rockford Fire Investigator I3 was investigating both scenes.

Unknown on injuries. The cause of the fires is under investigation.

 


Sources are reporting a scene on the West side. 

Sources said: “Car blew up on N Horsman st. 2 doors down from my house”

Unknown on injuries.

No other information at this time.

UPDATE: Several sources said that it was a high speed chase that ended up with the vehicle crashing and rolling over into the field

Sources are reporting a scene on the East side. 

Sources said there are “At least 4 Rockford police SUV and fire truck now. not sure what’s going on”  It is currently ongoing near 20th and lookout dr just before Samuelson

Sources are reporting a scene with multiple emergency personnel on scene. 

Sources said: It happened around 10 pm near the area of: “Ridge Ave is blocked off south of Glenwood. Bunch of Police and ambulances”

It is unclear at the time of writing this, exactly what happened.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Man Pinned Between 2 Trucks




Sources are reporting an accident involving a pedestrian. 

It happened around 6 pm today near the 4600 block of Sandy Hollow.

Initial reports is reporting a man is pinned between two trucks in the rear lot near this location. 

The victim was able to get free, but is injured.

Sources are reporting a scene on the East side. 

Several officers and police K-9 are in the area of Brooke and 9th. 

It is unknown what happened at the time of writing this. 

Please avoid the area, this sounds like it might be a potentially dangerous situation. 

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Local Police K-9’s Track 17 Hour Old Scent, Find Man




 

ON THURSDAY JULY 25, 2019 AT APPROXIMATELY 12:01 PM WINNEBAGO COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES RESPONDED TO THE 10400 BLOCK OF BANYAN DRIVE, MACHESNEY PARK, ILLINOIS FOR A REPORT OF A MISSING ADULT.

A 69 YEAR OLD MALE WITH MEDICAL ISSUES HAD WANDERED FROM HOME AND WAS LAST SEEN AT 8:30 WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

THE SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT K-9 UNIT ALSO RESPONDED TO THE SCENE. THE MALE SUBJECT’S SCENT WAS COLLECTED FROM THE HOME AND THE K-9 UNIT DEPLOYED BLOODHOUNDS ON THE NOW 17 HOUR OLD TRAIL.

SCENT EVIDENCE K-9, WHO ORIGINALLY TRAINED THE HOUNDS, ASSISTED THE UNIT VIA PHONE WITH THE COORDINATION OF INTEGRATED SEARCH STRATEGIES AND REMOTE GEOGRAPHICAL OVERWATCH.

TWO BLOODHOUNDS BROUGHT THE SEARCH TEAM TO AN AREA NEAR OLD RALSTON ROAD AND THE WEST SERVICE DRIVE OF NORTH SECOND STREET. THE MISSING MAN WAS LOCATED LAYING IN A BEAN FIELD IN THAT AREA NEAR A TREE LINE.

HARLEM ROSCOE FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED AND TRANSPORTED THE SUBJECT TO SWEDISH AMERICAN HOSPITAL FOR TREATMENT.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Accident With possible Injuries, Avoid The Area




Sources are reporting an accident.

It happened near 75 and Davis rd   around 4 am.
West of Durand

Several emergency personnel are on scene.

Sources said it appears to be a Grey Mazda that has crashed.

We have been told there are injuries, but not confirmed.

Avoid the area, or expect delays.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Man Holds Police At Bay in Rockford, While Standing On Garage Roof





Just before 9 pm tonight several officers were working a scene on the West side. 

It happened on Central, just North of School st.

Initial reports are saying there is a suicidal subject with a hand injury near this location.

The man climbed up on top of his garage and was screaming at the police. He was saying he just wanted to be left alone. The man had experienced a tragedy recently. He told the police to get off his property.  And was screaming other things at the police as well.
(Some we can not put in the article, we will just say he wasn’t happy with the police being there)

Several officers had the garage surrounded.

Around 11:30 pm, the scene was clear.
Unknown how the man came down.
