Rockford Scanner™: Multiple Injuries At An Accident Scene




UPDATE:  Admin Will is at the scene. He is reporting 3 people in custody.    While police were working the scene, a vehicle hit a police vehicle and took off from the scene. Several officers were in pursuit of the vehicle. Vehicle is described as a White Kia 4 door, with drivers side damage. Still developing. 

The victim Ashley K. said she was on her way to work when they had a green light. They were going through the intersection when the vehicle that was fleeing from police crashed into them and spun them into a pole.

Around 10:15 pm tonight there was an auto accident on the East side. 

It happened near 9th and Harrison.

Multiple injuries are being reported.

This is still developing, avoid the area.

Rockford Scanner™: Road Closure, Large Police Presence




MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT: On Thursday, July 18, 2019, shortly before 4:30 pm, Rockford Police officers responded to the area 1800 S. Mulford Road, in reference to a single motorcycle crash. Upon arrival, officers learned the 58-year-old male driver was traveling north bound on Mulford Road when he lost control. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. This is an on-going investigation. No further information is available at this time.


Avoid S. Mulford between Newburg and Charles due to a single-vehicle (motorcycle) crash. The area is shutdown due to the accident investigation. Driver transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.


Sources are reporting a large police presence and a road closure in Rockford. 

It is currently ongoing on Mulford between Newburg and Charles.

It is not clear exactly what happened.   Many have said there is a bad auto accident.  A vehicle and a motorcycle have collided.  Injuries were being reported.

Police have yet to release any information or confirm anything at this time.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Caught On Video, Burglary In Rockford. Recognize The Suspect?




Sources are reporting more burglaries. 

A RS Source had their window broken out during a burglary on Camlin ave around 2:30 am on Wednesday night.

The source sent us a video of the incident that has the alleged suspect breaking into the vehicle. You can see a suspect wearing a winter jacket and a backpack.

Call the RPD with the information.

According to the RPD call logs there have been almost 20 burglaries/theft from vehicles in Rockford in the last 72 hours.

Sources are reporting a scene on the East side. 

It happened around 2 am this morning near the 4500 block of Sunderman rd.
That is located in the subdivision NE of Alpine and Spring Creek.

We have been told there was no injuries.

No suspect information.

One Person Taken To The Hospital After A Fire In Rockford. 

Just before midnight a mattress was on fire inside a residence in the 1900 block of 16th ave.  A mattress caught on fire inside the residence. The mattress was taken outside into the yard. One person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. The fire was quickly under control.

Around midnight several emergency personnel were on scene of a battery victim call.

It happened on Park near Horace a little after midnight.

RPD call log shows it as an “In Progress Property: Home Invasion/Burglary”

Unknown on any other information.

Rockford Scanner™: Clothes Set on Fire During A Domestic Situation




Just before midnight tonight emergency personnel were on scene of a domestic and a fire call. 

It happened on N Winnebago, just North of Whitman st.

Reports of a domestic situation. A person has reportedly set some clothes on fire in the yard area.  The fire situation was quickly under control.

RPD confirmed it was a domestic situation, unknown on any arrests.
