Rockford Scanner™: Bank Robbery In Rockford, Suspect Gets Away




A Rockford bank was robbed Wednesday around 11:40 am. 

A suspect robbed the Chase Bank at N Main and W Riverside.
3699 N Main.

Suspect is described as a black male, approx. 6 foot, wearing a black knit hat, dark hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, a white surgical mask, white shoes and black gloves. Approx.  25 to 35 years old. Armed with a gun.

No injuries were reported.

Police are offering a $1K reward for information.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Several Emergency personnel Working A Water Rescue Near The Airport




 

Sources are reporting a water rescue. 

Reports of several emergency personnel at the old Ace of Diamonds on S Main near the airport. Reports of some people that were on the river and had got stranded on an island and are unable to get off.

Unknown what happened at this time for them to have caused them to be stranded. Everyone is reported to be out of the water and stuck on the shore.

This is near marker 7.5, where the two rivers meetup.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: At Least One Shooting Victim, Still Developing




Sources are reporting a shooting. 

At least one person has been shot. We have been told a woman approx. 39-years-old was shot in the head.

There were children outside, when the shooting happened.
Children witnessed the shooting.

The victim was transported to a local ER. That ER is currently on lockdown.

It happened near Broadway and 24th.

The victims condition we have been told, is life threatening injuries.
But RPD has yet to confirm this.

When the shots rang out, there were at least 2 gunshots heard. Then someone screaming “Oh My God, Oh My God, Oh My God”

Teachers at the nearby daycare grabbed the children that were outside, and brought them inside to safety.

RPD has yet to release suspect information.
We have been told it is a black male, no shirt, driving a 4 door Nissan. RPD has yet to confirm this as well.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Suspects Jump Out Vehicle And Rob A Victim In Their Front Yard

Around 1:20 am (Wednesday Morning/Tuesday Overnight) there was an armed robbery in the 1500 block of Portland in Beloit. 

The victim was in their front yard when a Red vehicle pulled up and the suspects got out and pointed a gun to the victims head. The suspects then robbed the victim, then fled the scene on Portland headed towards Grant. 

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Home Invasion, Medical Needed At The Scene




 

Sources are reporting a home invasion. 

Details are minimal due to the encryption.

It happened just before midnight near the 1400 block of Apache.
That is located near Guilford & Alpine.

Suspects are described as 3 black males, all armed with guns.

We have been told there are injuries. Medical was at the scene. Unknown why at this time. We have been told the suspects have violently beaten up a victim, but police will not yet confirm this.
