Sources are reporting a bad accident on the East side. 

It happened near Mulford and Guilford.

Injuries were being reported, unknown on the severity of the injuries.

Rockford Scanner™: Possible Jumper Near Downtown Rockford




 

Around 5 pm today, several emergency personnel were working a scene near downtown Rockford. 

A black female with short hair was on the ledge of the Whitman st bridge, threatening to jump into the Rock River. She was yelling at the emergency personnel to back away from her. She was on the ledge a short time, when she was secured and not able to jump anymore.  The scene is now secure.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Police Kick In The Door Of A Residence, Several Arrested




 

South Beloit Police Department Press Release:

On 07-11-19 officers of the South Beloit Police Department conducted a search warrant in the 600 block of Lathrop Terrace.

A search of the residence revealed approximately 23 grams of heroin, $1500 in USC, miscellaneous pills, ammunition and drug paraphernalia. The case was reviewed by the Winnebago County States Attorney’s Office whom authorized the following charges:

29 year old Aaron Campbell of Chicago.
Charge: Possession with intent to deliver heroin; Class X Felony.

25 year old Lavonte Sharp of Country Club Hills, IL.

Charge: Possession with intent to deliver heroin; Class X Felony. Valid out of county warrant arrest.

27 year old Michael Considine of Janesville, WI.
Charge: Resisting a Peace Officer, Possession of drug paraphernalia as well as a Valid Wisconsin DOC warrant.

28 year old Kaleb Henthorn of Janesville, WI.
Charge: Resisting a Peace Officer.

The charges against these subjects are merely accusations and they are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Large Drug Bust In Rockford




 

On Thursday, July 11th, at approximately 7:30 p.m. the Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit was assisted by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office and United States Drug Enforcement Administration with the execution of a search warrant in the 1000 block of 39th Avenue in Rockford during which a 25 year old Rockford man was arrested.

During a search of the residence approximately 264 grams of cocaine, 5,000 grams of cannabis, and $2,300 United States Currency was seized.
Pablo Mora, age 25, was charged with Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (100-400 grams cocaine) a class X felony and Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver Cannabis (more than 5,000 grams) a class X felony.

Mora, who is currently on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections for a previous Boone County narcotics violation was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. The Investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are possible.

A Class X felony is punishable by 6-30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Members of the public are reminded that these are only charges and are not proof of the defendant’s guilt. Every defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which it is the State’s burden to prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

It happened around 12:20 pm today in the area of Forest Hills & Pepper/River ln. Reports of an accident that involves at least 3 vehicles. Injuries were being reported. Multiple ambulances were on scene.

BANK ROBBERY IN ROCKFORD


We sat on this story a little bit to see if RPD or the local news would post any information on this. Neither has, so we are going to post it.

Sources are reporting a man has robbed an employee at a Rockford bank.

It happened  at the US Bank at 1107 E State st.

Suspect is described as a black male wearing dark clothing and a brown ski mask. Armed with a gun.  The suspect then fled the bank on foot. He was seen running down Charles st.

Police are searching the area, but the suspect is still on the loose.

Rockford Scanner™: Police Shoot A Dog During A Raid in Rockford




 

Sources are reporting the local police shot and killed a dog, during a raid. It happened Thursday in the 1200 block of Ashland. 

At least one dog was shot, unconfirmed reports are saying 2 dogs. Unconfirmed reports said the dog has died. They were reported to be in a confined area, when the police shot the dog. 

The source said as soon as the police opened the door to the vehicle to conduct the raid, they shot the dog(s) immediately after opening the door to the vehicle. And were not yet even on the property, when the shots were fired. 

Unknown why the police conducted the raid.

One person was in handcuffs.
