Sources are reporting a pedestrian has been hit by a vehicle in Rockford.

It happened just before 9:30 PM tonight in the area of State and Elm.

Reports of a female victim was struck by a vehicle near this location.  It is not yet known on the severity of the injuries at this time.  No other information is available.  Please avoid the area for a while

UPDATE:  Only one overdose victim

Sources are reporting a double overdose in Loves Park just before 9:30 PM.  Details are minimal.  Reports of two overdose victims in the 200 block of Pearl.  One of them is not breathing.  Several emergency personnel are on scene.



Rockford Scanner™: Fire At A Rockford Restaurant

Sources are reporting a business on fire in Rockford. 

It happened around 6:15 pm at 313 E State at at Capri. 

Reports of flames and smoke are visible in the basement of the business. 

Situation was quickly brought under control. Occupants evacuated. No injuries. Health inspector is en route. 

No other information at this time. 



Rockford Scanner™: Water Rescue Of An 8 Year Old in The Rock River


On 7/7/2019 at 2:09 PM Janesville Police and Janesville Fire responded to a water rescue call at 21 Dodge St, Janesville Town Square.

An eight year old boy was on the pier behind the Town Square Pavilion. The boy fell off the pier into the Rock River. An Officer responded to the north parking lot of 215 S River St, Rivers Edge Bowl. A throw rope was deployed and the boy was able to grab onto it.

The Officer pulled the boy to the edge of the cement embankment and was able to hold him there, but could not lift him out because of the steep embankment.

Another Officer had responded to the Racine St Bridge. There was a fisherman in a boat. The Officer asked the fisherman for help. The fisherman responded to the area behind Rivers Edge Bowl and assisted by lifting the boy out of the water so Officers could take hold and lift him the rest of the way up over the embankment. The boy had no apparent injury, but was transported to a local hospital for medical examination.



Rockford Scanner™: Pregnant Female Jumps Out Of a Moving Vehicle

Sources are reporting a pregnant female jumps out of a moving vehicle. 

It happened around 5 pm today near Prairie & Palmer Stone .  

The caller said his pregnant girlfriend got upset and jumped from the moving vehicle.

A pregnant female around 28 years old that is approx. 8 months along in her pregnancy,  allegedly opened up the car door and jumped out of a moving vehicle doing approx. 40 mph.  

The female has facial injuries (uncontrolled bleeding to the face) and also stomach injuries. Possibly has lost conscious.  

Police are investigating. 


Rockford Scanner™: Serious Accident in Loves Park


Sources are reporting a serious accident in Loves Park. 

It happened in the area of Harlem and Alpine.

Extrication (Jaws of life) was needed to cut at least one person out of a vehicle.  Injuries are being reported. We have been told the injuries are possibly life threatening, but not yet confirmed. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Sources are reporting a house fire in Rockford. 

It happened in the 1700 block of Kishwaukee around 3 am.

Reports of a fire near this location.  RFD arrived on scene and was able to quickly get the fire under control. No reports of injuries at the time of writing this. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Sources are reporting a fight at a local business.

It happened around 2 am at Don Carter Lanes on E State st.

A man was beaten up and is bleeding from the face.

Metro Enforcement is with the victim in the East part of the parking lot.
