Rockford Scanner™: Death investigation, Rockford Police Department are investigating




 

Sources are reporting a death investigation in Rockford.

It happened shortly before 11 PM and the 3500 block of Teal Lane.  That is located near West Riverside and Rockton.

Sources are reporting there is a dead body near this location and several police officers, and emergency personnel are on scene. The cause of the death is under investigation.  Sources said the death may possibly be suspicious in nature.  But as you know, nothing is confirmed at this time. Rockford Police Department has yet to release any information.

Update: After we posted this a source contacted us and said that it is an elderly woman victim.

Also, shortly after we posted this there was another death investigation on island ave in Rockford. No details on this scene at the time of writing this.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Man Wanted For Viciously Beating The Victim




Beloit PD: We are seeking the whereabouts of Jebb B. Sparks Sr., 25, of Beloit, who is a suspect in a substantial battery incident that was reported today in the 1400 block of Madison Road.

Jebb is white, 6 feet tall, 140 pounds, with long, light brown hair, and blue eyes. He was last seen with his mother, Gina L. Sparks, who is white, 5’6”, 125 pounds, with green eyes and red hair. Jebb also is believed to have his 7-month-old child with him.

Jebb was last seen driving a black, four-door Mazda 6 with Wisconsin plate number AEL1029; the car only has back plates. The vehicle has damage on the driver’s door and a window is broken out and may be covered in plastic. The triangle windows on both sides of the rear of the vehicle are also broken.

Woman falls out of a vehicle and is injured. 

It happened around 7:40 pm tonight in the 1300 block of Halsted. Initial reports are saying a female has fallen out of a vehicle and has head injuries. The cause of her falling out of the vehicle, is under investigation.

Sources are reporting a house fire in Boone County.

It happened around 5 pm in the 700 block of S Main in Belvidere.

Reports of a house on fire. Initial reports are saying smoke and flames are showing. No other information at this time.

Rockford Scanner™: Construction Crew Strikes A Gas Line in Rockford




 

Sources are reporting a construction crew has struck a gas line in Rockford.

It happened just before 5 pm near the 5400 block of E State st.

No reports of injuries at this time.  No evacuations at the time of writing this. Several emergency personnel and NICOR are en route to the scene.

Sources are reporting a few accidents that happened today.

  1. Around 4:30 pm today there was an accident with injuries near Alpine and Larson. Reports of possible multiple injuries.
  2. Around 4:30 pm today in the area  Riverside and Olson, there was an auto accident with injuries.

Rockford Scanner™: Carjacking in Rockford, Suspects Flee From Police in Machesney Park




 

Sources are reporting a delivery driver was carjacked in Rockford. It happened last night in the area of Latham and Barton.

Suspect carjacked the victim. The victims vehicle is a 2008 Subaru Forester that is tan/gold in color. Might have a delivery sign on top.

Suspect that stole the vehicle was a black female.

Around 3 am officers in Machesney Park spotted the vehicle on Orlando.  The suspect fled from officers.  The person in the vehicle was a black male, wearing dark clothing and tan pants. The police stopped the chase near 173 and Alpine. Suspect was traveling southbound on Alpine at a high rate of speed.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Suspect Hits A Police Squad Car While Fleeing From police in Rockford




 

Sources are reporting a police squad car was struck by a fleeing vehicle in Rockford. It happened just after midnight near Summit and Benton. 

Suspects are in a Black 2011 4 door Hyundai with a plate # AH17088 that comes back to an address on Pecan st in Rockford.  Tire damage to the vehicle,  officers deploying measures to stop the vehicle. Last seen eastbound from the scene.
