Rockford Scanner™: Police Helicopter Helps Capture Suspects In A Fleeing Vehicle in Rockford

On Saturday June 8, 2019, shortly after 9:48 pm, Officers from the Rockford Police Department, Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies and Illinois State Police responded to the 5100 block of Linden Road, reference a fleeing stolen vehicle.

The vehicle came to a stop, and four occupants fled on foot from the vehicle.

With the help of the police helicopter and numerous officers on scene, All four subjects were later taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. This is an on-going investigation. No further information is available at this time.

Rockford Scanner™: Robbery At A Rockford Business, Suspects Get Away




On Saturday June 8, 2019, shortly after 6:26 PM, Rockford Police Officers responded to The Dollar General (1405 Kishwaukee Street), for an armed robbery. Officers learned that four suspects all armed with handguns, entered the business and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk gave the suspects an undisclosed amount of money from the registers. The suspects fled on foot from the store.

The suspects are described as black males in the late teens to early twenties.

The first suspect is approximately 6’0”, thin build, Nike hoodie, black pants, white shoes, and white gloves.

The second suspect is approximately 5’8”, medium build, black mask, white shirt, black pants, white shoes, and white gloves.

The third suspect is approximately 5’9”, thin build, blue and white facemask, maroon hoodie, blue Adidas sweatpants.

The fourth suspect is approximately 5’9”, black and white facemask, and black hoodie with a red “N” on chest, black pants, red shoes.

Sources are reporting a robbery in Rockford.

It happened at the Dollar general at 1405 Kishwaukee around 6:30 pm.

Suspects are 4 black males with hoodies.

A black impala with a plate of BH96304 that comes back to an address on 26th st is involved.

All the suspects are armed with guns.

Sources are reporting a violent robbery in Rockford

It happened near the tobacco store on Rockton ave in Rockford.

Suspects viciously beat the victim up and then robbed the victim.

Suspects fled in a vehicle from the scene.

RPD has yet to release the suspect information.

Rockford Scanner™: Vehicle Hits A Small Girl In Loves Park




 

Sources are reporting an accident in Loves park. 

It happened this afternoon near Windsor and Forest Hills.

Sources said a vehicle hit a small girl near this location.

The girl suffered injuries to her head and leg.

The driver of the vehicle did stay on scene.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Another Shooting Victim in Rockford, Police Investigating




Update: The victim is reported to be around 10 years old. This is the 2nd shooting that happened that involved a child, within a few hours of each other. The other incident a 12 year old  at http://rockfordscanner.com/2019/06/08/rockford-scanner-12-year-old-shot-in-rockford-2nd-victim-injured/

Both children were inside their homes when the suspects fired gunshots at the homes and the children were struck by the gunfire.  Both children were shot at the 2 different scenes. The injuries are believed to be non life threatening injuries.


Sources are reporting another shooting victim in Rockford. 

This one happened around 3 am near the 1900 block of Grenshaw in Rockford.  Reports of at least one shooting victim. It is not yet known on the severity of the injuries. At least 9 shots were fired near the intersection of Grenshaw & Kenmore. That is close to West Middle School. The victim was transported to a local E.R. No suspect information at this time.








 

Rockford Scanner™: 12 Year old Shot in Rockford, 2nd Victim Injured.




Sources are reporting another shooting in Rockford. 

This happened around 2:20 am in the 900 block of 14th st.

Reports of approx. 15 gunshots were fired.

A 12 year old victim was shot in the left arm.
Sounds like the victim was inside the house, when they were shot.

A second victim was injured by flying debris.

No suspect information at this time, still developing.
