Rockford Scanner™: Motorcyclists Crashes In Loves Park, Driver Not Located




Sources are reporting a motorcycle accident in Loves Park.

It happened around 10:30 pm on Windsor rd, West of Forest Hills.

A motorcyclist crashed near the curve.  There is a lot of blood at the scene. The motorcyclist was not at the scene. Emergency personnel were not able to locate the rider. They used their thermal gear to see if the victim may have been thrown from the scene. After a brief search of the area, no victim was located. The crashed motorcycle is laying in the roadway in the eastbound lanes of traffic. Unknown on the riders condition. The cause of the accident is under investigation.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Large Tree Falls Onto A Vehicle, At A Birthday Party

Cassie C. sent us these photos of a tree falling down onto a vehicle just feet from her and several people attending a birthday party at Big Hill Park in Beloit. She said ” We were at a birthday party today and one of the HUGE trees fell down on another guest’s car just feet away from us as we were loading up to leave. Thank goodness nobody was hurt. I’ll never forget the sound of a tree crashing to the ground and shattering a Suburban.”

Sources are reporting a shooting victim. 

It happened around 9:10 pm tonight near 4600 block of Treeview Terrace.  That is located near the SW area of Mulford and Linden.
Google Maps shows this to be Cherry Valley.

Details are minimal right now.  One confirmed shooting victim.

Unknown on the victims condition.

Around 9 m tonight there is a house that is fully engulfed near US 20 and 73. 

The house is fully engulfed. Unknown on injuries.  

Police have shut down US 20 and are diverting traffic.

Sources are reporting a structure fire. 

It happened earlier today in the 7400 block of Moulton Rd in Ogle County.

Reports of a fully engulfed barn fire.

Unknown if any animals or people were injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Rockford Police Keeping The Streets Safe, Crowd Control For A Large Party




Last night someone tossed a big party near Webster and Berkeley on Rockford’s west side.  Many people attended the party.

Many neighbors called the Rockford Police to report the loud and disorderly party several times throughout the night.

(Note: There was way more vehicles on scene, before the camera was turned on and setup. The video shows things as it was calmer)

Around 2:30 am, several officers from the Rockford Police department were on scene keeping the streets safe and helping control the crowd and traffic as the party dispersed.

We have not heard any reports of injuries or arrests.

Sources are reporting a shooting victim in Rockford.

Details are minimal right now.

A shooting victim arrived at a local hospital around 4 am this morning.

It is unclear on the location of where the shooting took place, and the severity of the injuries at the time of writing this.

All we can confirm right now is there is at least one shooting victim that arrived at a local E.R. around 4 am.

Rockford Scanner™: Severe Thunderstorms Possible Today




Showers and thunderstorms are likely to move across the area this afternoon and some of these storms may be severe. Large hail and damaging winds would be the primary severe threats. Heavy rainfall will also likely accompany these storms, and this could result in some risk of flash flooding if multiple storms track over the same areas. Rockford Scanner™: One Injured In An Apartment Fire in Rockford

UPDATE: Sources said a firefighter was also injured and was transported to a local hospital. The firefighter was treated and released.


Sources are reporting an apartment fire around 1 am near 1212 North Horace ave. 

At least one victim has been injured. Victim has burned their hands.

This is a 2 apartment complex. The flames are coming from the living room of the upper apartment. 

Several pets are inside the apartment. 

A MABAS box 11 has been toned out, several area fire departments are en route. 

UPDATE: Neighbors told us they heard very large fireworks in the area, just prior to the fire. It is unknown on the cause of the fire at this time. Several emergency personnel from several area jurisdictions were on scene battling the fire.  The victims injuries are believed to be non life threatening, emergency personnel has yet to confirm this.
