Victim is 70 year old Sharon Stoner of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Police arrested her son 46 year old Kent Stoner for 1st degree murder. Emergency personnel found this victim approx. 10 am, she had “Traumatic Injuries”. Police investigated and determined the suspect was her son and arrested him with 1st degree murder
A woman was found dead, the police are investigating this as a homicide.
Sources are reporting a scene behind the Machesney park Mall.
Reports of several emergency personnel on scene at the condos behind the Machesney Park Mall. Police crime scene tape is up.
It is not yet known what happened. A few said it was a possible shooting. But we can not yet confirm this. Avoid the area for awhile so emergency personnel can investigate the scene.
UPDATE: 2 juveniles are in custody for the stolen vehicles.
Suspects Steal 2 Vehicles In Loves Park, Then Drive Recklessly And Crash into A House in Loves Park.
Sources are reporting suspects stole 2 vehicles in the 200 block of Renrose in Loves Park overnight. After stealing the vehicles they were driving erratically and squealing the tires and honking and flashing their lights.
Short time later, they crashed into a residence. The suspects then fled the scene on foot. Unknown on their description, or the description of the 2nd vehicle that has not been recovered yet.
Update: The 2nd vehicle was recovered on Burrwood. The vehicle did not crash into the house, but they parked it in the lawn very close to the house.
No suspects are in custody at this time. If you have any information, please call the LPPD.
On 5/4/19 at 2118 hours Rock County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a two vehicle head on collision on Hwy 14 North of E Cty Tk MM. On Hwy 14 a southbound Ford Mustang was attempting to pass an uninvolved vehicle. While the Mustang was traveling southbound in the northbound lane, it collided head on with a Buick Encore.
As a result of the collision a 33 year old male of Janesville was pronounced dead on scene. The male was an occupant of the Mustang. The driver of the Encore suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital but eventually released.
The driver of the Mustang, Thomas Bluhm of Janesville, showed signs of impairment and was arrested for:
-Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle
-OWI 2nd Causing Injury
As a result of the crash Hwy 14 was shut down for approximately five hours while the Rock County Recon Team could complete their investigation.
Bluhm was booked into the Rock County Jail for court on 5/6/19.

On 05/4/19 at 8:47 pm, officers from The Janesville Police Department responded to Kwik Trip at 3359 Milton Ave, for the report of an armed subject. Officers located a vehicle in the parking lot with a female inside. Officers saw a handgun on the center console next to the female in the drivers’ seat. Officers began negotiations with the female while evacuating the business and parking lot.
After the lot was evacuated, officers moved away from the vehicle. A short time later, the female exited the vehicle unarmed and was taken into custody.
The officers were able to safely de-escalate the situation and prevent any injury to the community, officers or the suspect. The suspect has nothing in her past that prevented her from purchasing or possessing the handgun.
